LOL. Yah, I am like the only person in America that still rents from a brick and mortar Blockbuster Video... we still have a few of them left here.

Rise of the Planet of the Mother-Effing Apes.
Absolutely Awesome. From Bright Eyes to "No" the whole movie was a brilliant nod to the original Five Films and an excellent reimagining of Conquest with a much better development of the apes' story. |

I actually laughed out loud at that. More than once.
Some of those action figure therapy vignettes are hysterical.

I just caught this film last week. My wife and I are big fans of the originals and loved this one. It was a great homage while improving and condensing everything into a much better and more believable storyline.
I'd like to see more pre-quels that lead up to the events of the first film. My wife would like to see this same team remake the originals.

I especially enjoyed when they showed the Icarus blasting off. Sweet way to pay homage and set up a sequel at the same time.
This movie pleasantly surprised me. After Tim Burton's Apes turn, I didn't know what to expect. I like Burton fine, especially classic Burton, but his Apes film was doomed from the start.
