You can't really have it both ways. You specifically mentioned the first two Burton Batman films, but sort of stepped over the two that followed; likely because they sucked.

The extent to which I agree with you depends on the merrit of the films being tossed out in a given case.
I would toss out batman 3&4, but I also don't think that means there has to be some sort of continuity issue by saying from the begining that you're starting over. What I do hate is when two different films are supposed to take place in one imaginary comic book universe and the same actor has been cast as two different characters inthe same universe. Like Chris Evans as Captain America, fresh off of playing the Human Torch in those pitiful Fantastic Four films. |

The coolest part of the superman movie was when they showed what happens when he gets shot in the eye.Thats the problem with superman,hes basicly a god.How do you shot a good movie without it being cosmic?

Nolan said publicly that although The Dark Knight was popular Burtons 89 movie was still the one that people would remember more.he is of course correct.he is a fan of Burtons 89 movie.
