Ok so I'll start with Zandar. If you examine Zandar's clothes they are a cross between a 80's punkrocker look and a motocross racer. His boots and pants with the lace up fly is exactly what motocross racers wear. Zarana Looks like a Punkrock chic to but she's based on a female character in the original Mad Max Movie. It's one of the good guy's females. She has her face and hair due. Now it's easy to see the the influence for the 3 original Dreadnoks in Mad Max with the bikers in Aulstralia doing mayhem. The real cool influence comes when you look at Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome. There are football shoulder pads all over the place and Road Pig has his arm dart crossbow on the character Wez. Colored hair and a general wasteland look of the later Noks. Also maybe Tina Turner's character Auntie is a huge influence for Zarana. Check these movies out and it's just too obvious. The time and look are perfect.
