You're one of my favorite posters on the board right now--I love your snide comments about JJ's efforts. That guy is ruining the polls; if he is so upset about it, maybe he should just stop paying attention to it and stop voting in it. Dude needs to get a life. I love the poll and there's nothing wrong with it. Keep it going, man!
How are you? My name is Baard, and I'm a 3rd year graphic design student from Oslo, Norway. I'm doing my bachelors thesis in the visual measures of GI Joe ARAH 1982–94. I'm very interested in the poll about the top GI Joe characters of all time you've initiated here in the forums. I've seen some graphics you've done with percentages and some of the polls here. I was wondering, do you have the data for the top 10 or top 20? Like, how many voted in total? That would give me something to lean on.
Lol, that's awesome! It looks like we have pretty much the same board. The only exceptions are character placement, and you swap out Red Ninja for Serpentor, Jinx for Falcon, and Spirit for Rock n Roll.
This will be my first Con but its still 5 hrs away, so I am hoping that I can find some deals to make it worth the trip. It is hard to value figures after being able to get em at rock bottom prices, there was one local comic/toy con I went to that the main guy that would host it sold is figures for a buck!! It was a bunch of obscure ARAH but I made an offer of $40 for 50 joes and he took it!! Depending on how difficult it is to find a certain figure it directly correlates the value I attach to it. The most I've paid for figure is the POC firefly, my favorite version (the one that has camo, like a comma on his forehead) for $9 off of eBay.
My friend that is some choice intel. I appreciate you getting word back to me. I got very high hopes for some killer deals. I know there are no guarantees but a guy can dream. Thanks for sharing. I hope to make some excellent memories there this year.
You responded on a thread about cracked elbows, that at last years JoeCon you scored some figures from a guy that was selling them for (3)-$5. I'm planning on attending 2014 JoeCon and the price range I usually score figures for is about that too, was there more vendors selling loose figures for that price than just that one guy? Just curious if I should get my hopes up.
