Ive loved the HALO storyline for years and Ive read the books. Totally enjoyed them. The games are great and the graphics are kick ass with every new sequel. By chance I picked up the HALO MB SHORTSWORD. Its a mean looking fighter/bomber and I was craving something to build. I looked for the Pelican but alas, couldnt find her when I wanted to spend the money. Anyways. The fighter is amazing, and Im definately getting the Pelican now. I love planes an vessels of all kinds. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Ill post pics when i get home. Plus at the small scale, a GI JOE FLAGG at 7 1[2 feet would be amazing and truly gargantuan. The figures are about 1 1]2 inches, really small, but its all about the jets and other vehicles.

i found the orbital drop pods that the odst use. they are kinda cool but pricey at 11.50 each. i have the pelican but it kept falling apart. i used the good parts to customize my btr hiss tank.

The Halo Mega Blocks are awesome. I have the Wolverine, Warthog, and a few figure/weapons packs. If I can make room I'll pick up the Locust vs Gauss Hog, and a Mongoose.

Too bad that Lego didn't get this license. The mega bloks are just so damn cheap. I do like the better articulation on their figures but everything just doesn't stick together, pretty poor quality across the board.

Actually Rascal, the figures almost have the same minimate body. Ball joints to shoulders/hips and head, elbow and knee articulation, swivel wrists and ankles. I havent tried to take one apart yet, but the theory is sound. Wonder if the minimates are just a tad too big, dont have any with me. In regards to the cheap quality, its MB and its still about what I expected. Luckily, I love krazy glue and that's what Im doing to the Shortsword aircraft when I get back. I couldnt see that well and I was working in dim light, needless to say, i made some mistakes, but what I used afforded me left over smaller pieces and hey, who doesnt like extras. I picked up the PELICAN today and cant wait to get started. Gotta hit Crabby Mikes here in Myrtle Beach. I know Ill be beat when I get back but whatever. Im really hoping this will help me make a JOE-SCALE PELICAN drop ship. Yes, with the miracle that is a hot glue gun,I want to make both the drop ship and a shortsword. If anyone has any extra GI JOE ROC exo suit ripcords or dukes, please lmk, I need a few. They will be my fire team. According to net sources, one should be able to fit an M1A1 Abrams tank in the hold, that being the case, FORCES OF VALOR has one at Target and that will give you the general idea of the scale I want. it will be big, but not too big. I have a few 25th anniv, jeeps that I want to modify and use for my GI JOE HALO PELICAN. I plan on using the grapple arm from Target as a mag lock to hold the jeep. There will be an handle on the upper body to carry and swing wing VTOL action to main fuselage and also to the rear vector engines. Im not sure how I want to do the cockpit, but Im sure Ill work something out.

I did something to the first Mega Bloks Warthog that I have NEVER done to any Lego set... I glued it together tight! And it's awesome!
