Yes, something from the beloved Built To Rule toyline (anyone!?). Gotta admit I didn't really care for this series at the time of its release, it just seemed too unrealistic and juniorized to me. Now over 20 years later (and also becoming a LEGO collector in the meantime) I wanted to add at least a couple of BTR figures to my Joe collection. Realized it wasn't that much more expensive to pick up a few sets to modify so got this Cobra Raven with Wild Weasel. Was a fun project to try and retain as many of the original BTR parts as possible, while still attempting to make it look like a proper 3 3/4" scale Cobra plane.

Some features of this reworked Cobra Raven:
-Now a two man plane with the added rear gunner
-Poseable landing gear, wings, engines and rear guns
-Total armament of three BTR missile launchers and six machine guns
-Storage under rear gunners seat for the crews firearms

This looks fun.

I had my toddler at an arcade place yesterday and one of the top shelf prizes was a brick version of the Rattler. The girl working there didn't know what GiJoe was, though.

That must have been one of those Forever Clever sets from around five years ago. They all had the classic box art, but unfortunately most of the vehicle designs appear very basic. The minifigs looks alright though.

Here's one more reworked BTR set, the GI Joe Locust helicopter:

Very cool! BTR was a good idea, but the builds weren’t interesting enough.
