Close up by Magnus-L, on Flickr
Crew maintenance by Magnus-L, on Flickr "The Brawler Heavy Tank Destroyer brings overwhelming firepower to the fight, designed to take on and defeat all known armored vehicles head-to-head. Its pair of forward firing 125 mm cannons can be either fired at the same time or one right after the other. It carries these mounted high, in order to depress them when firing from a hull down position. To mitigate its inevitable vulnerability to the sides and rear, the Brawler carries a 40mm autocannon in a remote turret, which can rotate 360 degrees and elevate to high angles to engage enemies on high ground and roofs. This weaponry is complemented by three heavy machine guns, two firing forward and the third mounted coaxially on the turret, as well as 16 smoke grenade launchers to help cloak its movements. This arsenal collectively is comparable to two conventional Main Battle Tanks, making the Brawler the best armed direct fire armored fighting vehicle in the Joe motor pool. When used properly, the Brawler is almost unstoppable in battle. Yet for all its impressive enhancements, the Brawler still suffers fundamentally compared to a conventional tank in its inability to traverse its main weapons. The firepower in its turret is potent, but not powerful enough to defeat true heavy armor. With this in mind, the Brawler is ideally deployed with other armored elements covering its flanks. The Brawler has a crew of three. The driver and commander operate the forward firing weapons and sit side by side in the hull, and the turret gunner sits deep inside the hull, beneath the turret. In addition to dealing out vicious punishment to any hapless target in front of it, the Brawler is heavily armored, with reactive armor adding protection in the frontal arc. The Brawler's most important advantage is the firepower it carries in its twin 125mm main guns. It can fire both at the same time to increase the likelihood of destroying a target at once, or it can fire one gun, adjust aim and follow up with a second corrected shot without needing time to reload. Alternatively, it can carry two different kinds of ammunition, one in each gun, ready to fire whichever it needs at a moment's notice. The main guns share the same rear-mounted autoloader. The Brawler carries its powerpack in front, which serves to add to the protection for its crew. But with the main guns and turret in the rear, the Brawler is unbalanced and has a rearward leaning attitude." |

It's amazing what a palette change does for a mold. This is incredible, and inspires me to modify my ARAH Brawler. Always love your work.

I am wrapping up my BattleForce2000 ground vehicles with the Marauder and the Eliminator. Just the Vector and Vindicator to go.
I decided to focus on the aesthetics of the basic vehicles rather than reproduce the better-in-theory-than-practice Future Fortress. I'm really happy how these turned out! "The Marauder is part of G.I.Joe's efforts to develop and expand its unmanned capabilities. The Marauder system comprises a tracked vehicle and a tactical scouting trike which can link together or operate independently as two separate vehicles. Each can be controlled remotely and has seating for two - a driver and a passenger or a remote operator. The crew of two can either operate each vehicle, with one driver in each vehicle, or they can both take their spots together on one of the vehicles and from there, the remote operator can control the other vehicle as an unmanned drone." Marauder by Magnus-L, on Flickr Split apart by Magnus-L, on Flickr The Marauder motorcycle tank is a particularly strange-looking vehicle. I knew I wanted to keep the basic aesthetic look of it to keep it recognizable, and the big challenge was to come up with a plausible explanation for its design. "The G.I.Joe team has a new 4X4 vehicle, designed specifically to survive blasts from lighter IEDs and landmines and make it back to base in one piece. It carries a crew of just two and is heavily armed with a remote weapons station mounting a 25mm autocannon." Eliminator by Magnus-L, on Flickr Rear view by Magnus-L, on Flickr Of all the BattleForce 2000 vehicles, the Eliminator was my least favorite, because it just seemed the least interesting - a vaguely futuristic looking jeep. I've redesigned it into something a little more like a light MRAP and really like how it turned out. Last edited by Stormgard; 03-22-2021 at 11:05 PM.. |

And now that I have all five of them completed, here are my BF2K ground forces all together!

Thank you! I'm open to ideas on how to modify those from the original designs since they're both a little too "out there" for me to want to replicate close to the originals.

"G.I.Joe's classic Wolverine is due for a new paint scheme and completely new weapon system. The renamed Gunslinger mounts a pair of six-shot revolver-fed recoilless rifles. These are ideal for targeting infantry, structures, and unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, and are far less expensive than highly sophisticated ATGMs. A coaxial machine gun is also included in the weapons package, something that was lacking in the original Wolverine. The Gunslinger is crewed by a driver and gunner."
Gunslinger by Magnus-L, on Flickr Gunslinger by Magnus-L, on Flickr I've been wanting to build another mod on this design for a while. I always thought the original Wolverine reminded me a little of the Vietnam-era Ontos, and this variant is basically my take on a sort of "21st Century Ontos" concept. With those dual revolver-fed guns, the vehicle named itself, and I gave it a camo scheme that suggested a dusty environment full of rocks and brush. |

"Cobra's small but determined coastal Navy has just added a hovercraft to its lineup. The Rat is a one-man craft, ideal for scouting and fast attacks. It can transition effortlessly from water to beaches and back again, whether pursuing Joes or making a quick escape."
Cobra Rat by Magnus-L, on Flickr Even by the standards of the '90s, the Cobra Rat is considered a poor toy by most collectors and fans. Now, I am not going to build a Lego version of every last sub-standard toy that Hasbro ever produced, but there never were enough watercraft in the line, so I wanted to make sure I covered each of them. I decided early on that making the Rat a little more palatable would involve turning it into a hovercraft. The weapons needed to be dialed back from those four gatlings to something a little more plausible and honestly, a pair of heavy machine guns is nothing to sneeze at. The funny spinning blades lent themselves to be reimagined as lift fans, and I finished it off by giving it a paint scheme that brings it into line with Cobra classic sea forces. Still not the highlight of any nautical strike force, but hopefully less of an embarrassment for the Cobra naval wing. |

Those are awesome! I can't put anything lego together without instructions. I wish I had your eye for details and creativity.
LOVE the Terrordrome. The Rattler, Sky Striker, Night Raven, and the conquest X-30.... ALL incredible. You should put out a book or guide, I'd buy one. |
