This has been speculated for awhile, since no new sets were previewed fro toyfair, and it has been known Megablocks acquired the Spongebob licence, which is also owned by Nickelodeon.

Lego has better bricks and is certainly more iconic, but I am a huge fan of the MB figures that have been coming out more recently. The Call of Duty stuff is absolutely fantastic.

I think the gap between brick quality has really shortened over the last few years. I prefer the colors of the MB stuff though. The Halo and CoD mini-figures are more to my liking, as I think the Lego stuff is too kiddy for my tastes.
Hopefully, the MB TMNT and Star Trek lines have figures with the same articulation as the Halo/CoD lines. |

Actually, Mega Bloks did a TMNT brick line first back in 2003 for that TMNT series. So "going back" might be a more apt term :p

i think it be more like the rest of their kids line, inconsistant. the Assassin creed, halo and CoD seem to focus on collectors line so seem to have some uniformity i seen, but the kids stuff seem no plan, look at hello kitty, and power ranger line?

I don't know, the stuff on ToyArk has me hopeful. The Terminator line certainly isn't backing away from the CoD figures and it appears that they're even adding articulation to the... Monster dolls figures with knee joints. I mean, they're ninjas, they've gotta be able to something more that arms up and straight forward kicking, right?

Yes i can and a big grin spreads across my face when i think about it
BTW...TIM ,before he left Mega Brands, mentioned that the new articulation would be used quie a bit on all of their future lines. The Mega Bloks team is aware of how successful the introduction of the new articulation system has been and how meaningful it is to fans. Last edited by Plasticfan; 02-16-2015 at 04:07 AM.. |
