Amazon.com: Doctor Who Character Building Tardis Console Room Mega Set: Toys & Games just the brick quality on coloring could been better. I finally bothered getting the other most expensive set in the Cobi Dr. who line, the Dalek factory: Amazon.com: Doctor Who Dalek Factory Construction Playset: Toys & Games But it the micro-figures i admit interesting. Not sure whic was 1st in using oversized heads, lego or Cobi though, but the gender differences and long coat and short coat variants are nice, and the hunt for the super rare variants are nice if lucky.

I really only buy LEGO.
I used to be pretty big into Kre-O Transformer stuff, but that was a love affair that really only lasted about a year. I bought one Megabloks set, and a handful of minifigure blind bags to see what it was all about. Minifigures are neat, but frankly, I feel like MB is completely different from LEGO. LEGO makes sets in which the pieces and minifigures are kind of uniform and very interchangeable. With MB, it just seems like you're building small dioramas for tiny, highly articulated action figures. Doesn't really work at all for me. Plus, MB doesn't even carry the minifigure style from line to line, so there is no uniformity at all there. Halo and CoD sets are obviously the bread and butter of MB. Haven't ever bought a CoD set, but the Halo minifigures have a lot of articulation and are pretty nice. I've heard the CoD figures are a slightly different size than the Halo minifigures. Bought a few of the Power Ranger blindbags, and they seem like totally different figures from a completely different company. Half the articulation of the Halo figures, and they aren't even proportioned the same. I also bought some Ionix Tenkai Knights minifigures, and like, two sets that had been clearanced out. The big gimmick with these guys is that the minifigures and a few other parts actually transform into bricks that you can build things with. However, I feel like because of this, the tiny balljoints that the figures are held together by make them constantly fall apart. Also, the builds for the sets just comes off as really weird to me.

If GI Joe was never produced by Kre-o then I never would have bought a single item. Until a competitor can match the quality (clutch power, techniques, stability, etc) then I am not interested. |

that me most of the time, but do have a weakness to certain franchise items, the Charactor Building Doctor who i held back till i got the Ultimate tardis set and i got best lock on for the star gates set, i expect bad quality on those, but on Kreo since it was by hasbro especially on the terrordrome, i hoped a bit close, but not exact to lego... some cases like the hiss tank, yeah, but the turret top of the terrordrome, the flaws expose the common that it all looks but not play testing. as you said "The builds are inferior and tend to be extremely fragile." in that case, squeezing an circle floor in tight oval ring backfires.

Once Mega Bloks developed the CoD minifigure I think they started to move to that style for Halo. It's been a gradual transition, but I think the CoD style will be the norm. Also should mention the Assassins Creed sets as well.
Although MB has improved considerably I still have the occasional fit problem. Just yesterday I picked up the Icarus Troopers battle pack that features a small satellite build. There were 2 pieces that were molded with extra material so the plate was larger than normal and they wouldn't fit side by side. I had to take my exacto knife and trim them down. |

I am from Denmark and love Lego (as that is where they are from). I even went to high school with the founder's great grandson Ole Christensen and he gave the whole class free season passes to Legoland in Billund, DK. However, I feel with Mega Bloks Halo and Call of Duty, you get far more value for the money. The sets stay together just as well as the Lego brand and that is not a lie. Personaly, I laugh to myself and wonder if true Lego loyalist actually believe that the competition is that far an inferior product and know that they are full of themselves that refuse to "mix the chocolate with the peanut butter". It is just an elitist attitude, in my opinion.
In my order, I would rank the following: 1. Lego (The Standard. However, I really wish that they did a military theme but understand why they do not.) 2. Mega Bloks (Very innovative with each set and they are true to scale with the mini-figs. Also, the mini-figs are very articulated. Also, now made by Mattel.) 3. Kre-O (To me, these feel very knock-offish and sets really are not all that great in my opinion apart from the Mini-Figs even though it is a Hasbro brand.) Also, being a G.I. Joe fan, I think that they are more in line with us collectors as it is a military theme. Lego er det bedste , men Mega Bloks er en tæt secong i min udtalelse.

Megablocks has made some big strides in the last few years. However, I own some older TMNT, POTC, and some dragon sets, and they are clearly an inferior product. The bricks feel cheap, the figures break easily, and the stickers don't....stick. They built their reputation on that, and it takes some time for it to recover. |

Yeah, megablox geting better, and seems with their assassin creed found where they can focus on... though their childre's line like power rangers , hello kitty and such... i not sure yet. I just got The Best lock Stargate mega set Abylos... and the ONLY thing worth is the stargate itself, the plates are almost all warped... going to try to finish that set but atleast for me Cobi/ Character Building and Kreo not caused me major disappointments yet, but after best lock... even the micro figures are... just feel sorry for O'Neal and Carter i want to make them as Kreons to replace the monstrosities best lock made them. My conclusion on best lock, buy only the stargate cheep sets, the mega sets, though value per content... the eye sore hard to.tolerate.
Yeah, starfighter, think sets like bestlock as i experinced can effect how others see other cheaper companies. For me it what each can.uniquely provide, best lock grimly only set provide the stargate so in the end got it for that... and the deathgliders. : / so enjoy have my cobra forces use it, lol.
