Hopefully a lack of any presence on the shelves won't hurt any potential new releases. |

I went to 2 different Toys r us stores here in Columbus, one yesterday only have a few series 5 blind packs, 1 dojo set and 1 check point alpha.
Went to another today and they were over flowing on mini figure blind packs from series 2,3,4 & 5, not on sale even though their website said they were still $1.49 they charged me $2.99 saying those prices on their website are for monday not Sunday and they would not honor those prices. I still need a Firebat and have lots of figures to trade including a night-viper and bazooka trooper.

Went looking for some stuff because I've got terrible luck at some seconds I need for parts. It appears the clearance thing has been working because there was little or nothing left.
Which has me wondering if they didn't just need to get rid of all the bad stuff to do some good stuff later on. I mean let's face it the recycled stuff from the Battleship line resulted in some bad looking sets so it's no wonder they sat on shelves. But when Hasbro did things right like the Firebat/Wolverine set they sold quickly. Even wave 5 became the insane to find wave some places thanks to lots of army builders in the wave. So on one hand it is so darn tempting to scream "death of the line". But on the other hand since so much of it doesn't require new tooling all the time maybe clearance is so none of the bad stuff is on the shelves as Hasbro gets it's act together on Kreo Joe. |

Went to the San Mateo store yesterday and the only things they had out were maybe two dozen wave 3 bags in an end cap tube and a handful of Outpost Defender sets, one of which had been ransacked for its figures.
There were prices up for a few other sets, but they were scattered and other lines were closing in on their shelf space. Like everyone else, I'm hoping this doesn't signal the end, but it definitely looks like at least a gap in the line. :( |

While I would be happy to see more sets, I'm also realistic enough to know that if they are selling sets at 75% off they're dumping their inventory at or below cost. You can't sell things at or below cost and stay in business... I wish they'd been smarter about the way they did sets. More sets like the Firebat/Wolverine, Outpost Defender and the Terror Drome, less sets like... everything else. I shouldn't have to buy a $70 set to get an army building vehicle. If they'd done just the hiss at 181 pieces plus a driver for say 15-20 I'd have purchased several at full retail. Instead I waited until the Dojo price dropped to $15 because I had no interest in the Dojo itself.

^ Basically, that.
The strategy of "put Stalker in it and they'll pay $50 for this boat we have laying around" didn't seem work out so well. It feels like they figured it out with the later sets, but they've already burned through most of the characters who were popular enough to attract new interest. Fingers crossed, anyway. |

I was not a fan of these at first, but man o man...I really dig them
Now. I still have most of series 4-5 and all of 1 to obtain kreon wise, so I buy a few here and a few there so that I feel like I'm getting new joes each week.

You can get Oxford Bricks (The makers of the actual Kre-O) off of Amazon, If LEGO is too good for you, or you don't want to mix them. They have alot of military type stuff, but its not much cheaper than actual LEGO, anyway.
Just a thought if you need more stuff for customs and whatnot. Amazon.com: oxford blocks: Toys & Games |

Wow, Oxford actually has a lot of neat sets. Military themed and otherwise.
Are they somehow related to Cobi blocks? This site lists them together under Cobi, and has a ton of sets with fairly consistent images: Cobi | BrickRepublic.com |
