What sets do you want next year?
My picks: 1. Flagg 2. Pit (82 style) 3. GI Joe marauder mecha (POC GI Joe armor-mecha-thing) |

With the D&D Kre-O sets featuring towers/gates/walls that can be combined to make a larger one, it makes me wonder if Hasbro would consider doing something similar with larger playsets that could be combined to build something like the USS Flagg.
I mean, something like a Flight Deck set, which could be played with in isolation (a kid's imagination is the best filler-in-er ever) or combined with the, say, ''Attack on the Engine Room'' and ''Control Tower Defense'' set or similar. And when all six (or eight or ten) are combined, they create the entire Flagg, much like the LEGO Creator buildings can be combined to create streets. It would be a way to create larger sets without trying to sell a $1000 full-scale replica...

So if you could break it up into smaller pieces - which could still work as functional dioramas/playsets - then that would be a pretty neat way to do it.

With the Terror Drome coming out and after seeing that Transformers Command Base I'd really like to see Hasbro make the 83 Headquarters and I'd love to see the 82 Joes completed.
I'd like to see a new Dragonfly as well. The Battleship reissue just doesn't cut it as the Dragonfly. The Oxford company Hasbro works with on these makes a really nice Apache that I think could work as an excellent base for a Dragonfly, it even seats two pilots, or they could straight up use that Apache set but color it tan like the AH-74 Sonic Fighter Desert Apache. Also would love to see that older Starscream set reissued as a Skystriker. It would be nice to see Hasbro make some figure sets like Mega Bloks does with Halo. I use to get their 5 figure sets and the weapons pack sets. Those especially were great, a lot like those Transformers sets they have now with the extra gear and a weapon rack. The best was that massive collector's set Mega had out, think it was a TRU exclusive, with something like 40 figures in it. Could you imagine a massive Troop builder set like that ? Cobra Troopers, Alley Vipers, Crimson Guards, BATS and anything else they've made so far. That would put more than a few kids at Hasbro through college. |

Here is what I'd like to see in the near future for this line:
1. The Rattler. I don't care what they pair it with, but a Rattler and Wild Weasel are a must, imo. 2. Troop packs. I got in late and it would not be sane for me, pricewise, to get that nice squad of 5 Crimson Guard. Plus, Cobra was always the perfect force, in all of 80's toys, to army build for. 3. WHALE...yeah, I know we got Cutter already, but the GI Joe hovercraft was pretty iconic and would look cool in Kre-o. 4. For blind packs: Buzzer, Cover Girl, Tele-Viper, Dusty, Kwinn, Billy, Dr. Venom (it would be awesome to see some of the iconic comic characters that never got figures). |

My wishlist would be the original HQ divided into multiple sets.
Large set: Main center section of the base (Short Fuse, Cover Girl) vs Cobra La Mole Pod (Golobulus, Royal Guard x2) Medium set 1: Mobat with tank section of base (Steeler, Breaker, Heavy Metal) vs Cobra Pogo (Battle Armor CC) Medium set 2: Awe-striker with vehicle section (Crankcase, Zap) vs Cobra Rattler (Wild Weasel) Small Set: Combination Landing pad / Jump Pad (Grandslam) vs Snake Armor (Trooper) Last edited by todd_m6d; 04-28-2014 at 11:34 PM.. |
