Thanks! And yes, more reviews!! I picked up the Axeman yesterday and I like him quite a bit. I'll save my thoughts for your review though
Wulfgar and Drizzt will not disappoint. Just FYI, TRU has a 20% off coupon that you can print on their homepage. I plan on picking up either the Tower or Fortress Defense set this weekend along with a few more singles. And yeah, I took a few photos yesterday and will be putting up the Review in the next day or two. Hopefully it'll get a better response than the Beastmaster one though - it barely got any views, which surprised me given they're just new in stores. I guess people aren't as cuckoo for Kre-os as I thought!

The last time I was at my local TRU, I had forgotten my coupon. They actually had an extra coupon in the store that they used for me. They also told me that they could just scan the coupon right from my tablet. So it might work from a phone also?

Thanks for the tip. The ladies in TRU dig my accent so they might be nice to me. If not I'll see if I can use a phone version of the coupon if my printer - and my charm - fail me.

Thanks for the tip. My printer is messed up right now. I wonder if I can get some kind of digital-only version... I'll see if I can figure something out or maybe get the printer working by kicking it.

I wonder if brick collectors are passing on them because they look so similar to the LEGO Castle sets or something. But yeah, it's weird how few reviews there have been for them. I wonder if people just can't find them at retail...

I really love this D&D line. The Joes are still my favorite, but these are a close second. I put together a few customs just for fun and put all the castle together. I custom made two extra castle pieces with extra bricks to finish off the back corners.

I think Hasbro should push the game idea like they did with Cityville. Never bothered with that game, but it was in your face that there was a game. That's a built-in strength of D&D! And with so much fantasy & fairy tale in TV and movies, Hasbro might hook some kids if they'd just get the word out.

Wow, great pics man! I love your customs, where are the female heads from? I'd like to do a female barbarian custom but I don't think there are any Kreo torsos that would work for one. |

Yeah, I've heard in some of the reviews that folks planned on passing on these initially but really loved them once they were in hand. So it could be some hesitancy to even purchase them. I don't think it's a retail issue, at least not in my area as everything is readily availiable at both TRUs here. I also think the price point for these sets is a little better than Lego Castle. I mean, I fully exoected the Fortress Defense set to retail for around $35, $25 for that set is a great price especially with the number of Kreons you get with it.
Big Red - those pics are awesome!

The red and black hair are Lego. The face on the Red Head is Lady Jaye. The face on the Black Haired Warrior is from the Cityville Blind Packs, Wave 3 #80, Ranger Red. It took me a bit to realize from the picture that it is a female head. I purchased a couple, one for this figure and the other for Daina of the Oktober Guard I put together. |
