Well, I will agree with you on that Hasbro has a horrible PR program to lay out future plans. It makes me wonder if they have a long range calendar. The 50th Ann for GI JOE did not exactly sneak up on anyone and this seems like they went back and said, "hey, whats still in the back that did not sell?" Blowtorch? well, lets throw in a SE repaint with a vehicle repaint. Yes let's go with a few from the concept vault too"

D&D may be something esoteric to a lot of younger collectors and the D&D heads are unlikely to buy the figures (unless, like me, they have an overlap of both interests), for sure. But I don't think it's quite that simple. I think it's more about Hasbro trying to do something different, outside the military-themed construction sets or the ''everyday'' city stuff. Maybe they think the swords and stuff will attract kids who like Adventure Time. Maybe they think MMO-ers will like them as desk toys. I don't know. But I'm sure somebody will buy them. And it's not impossible for a brand to exist outside of its ''usual'' audience. I got into GI Joe because I like well-sculpted, highly articulated figures but I'm not a fan of the military (I mean I don't generally watch war movies or read books about military campaigns and so on). Until just a few years ago I knew NOTHING about the brand yet now I have a Modern Joe collection that I'd pretty much put up against anybody else's with pride. It's not uncommon for people to become ''quick converts'' to a new brand and if it's out there, there's a good chance somebody, somewhere will chance on it and give it a try. And if they like it, they'll do as I did and invest a lot of time/effort/money into it. I'm happy to see them at least trying something different. I mean, Mega Bloks WoW aside (and without sounding like an elitist ass, a lot of fantasy fans really don't like WoW - I guess because it was popular or something) there are very few ''pure'' fantasy toy lines out there, yet there's a pretty big audience for stuff like GoT, LOTR, The Hobbit and so on. I think it's a smart move to at least try to present something akin to that, even if it's not exactly on-point. Like I always say about bad sci-fi on TV: at least it's better than no sci-fi on TV.

If the Terror Drome is coming out in wave 4, then hopefully wave 5 has a G.I. Joe Headquarters Command Center!

Does anyone have Alley Vipers or Crimson Guard Kreons for sale or trade? I've got a bunch of Cobra B.A.T.s if interested.
