I walked into Toys R Us last week and saw almost every set on sale for ~50% off or so, bought them out of a few sets and went online for a few more. Two of my favorite things from my childhood, Lego and G.I. Joe. Now I just need to sell off all those 25th series I purchased and boxed up. ~$400 later I think I have a problem.

I was already making Lego GIJoes before this was announced. So, when it happened, I said "FINALLY!"

had tons of legos as a kid, always loved g i joe, toys comics, art.
bought a lego star destroyer years ago, was great but expensive, had my eye on many things but never pulled the trigger, was excited to see kreo joes but i collect so much the price wad turning me off, i rarely went to tru anymore but then had a kid so went more frequently and picked up a checkpoint as it was a favorite as a kid and cheap. it wasnt until about 3-4 months ago prices dropped and i picked up a platform and then i was hooked, got everything pretty quickly and wasnt going to get more than one trooper each until the terror drome went on sale, now i have duplicates of many troopers and bought many sets for customs and currently 14 terror dromes, 13 to be built into one really large one, will be 2 -2 1/2 x as tall and about 18x the diameter just measured for the board i will need and it is about 35x35 minimum...i went head first and hope it continues. oh i do still need a wv 1 at adventurer...just no rush asi dont care much about the at Last edited by spazzy; 01-14-2015 at 07:43 AM.. |

I have collected Lego Minifigures for quite a while now. I had been looking at the Transformer Kre-Os for quite some time and kept talking myself out of them. GI Joe was my favorite toy growing up, once they were announced I started to save my pennies for series 1.

A sale at my local TRU...40% off, I believe. I was intrigued by the GIJoe Kreons, but held off until the sale, where I picked up Checkpoint Alpha.
I was impressed by the overall quality of the mini figures (Firefly and Law), as well as the brick fit. As I mentioned earlier....GIJoe + Lego type building blocks= awesome! After that, I bought all the wave 1 sets, and the blind bags. When the wave 2 blind bags showed up, I got all 12 once again. I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of the ASP/Ghoststriker & Dojo/HISS tanks sets around Christmas 2013, but they never arrived....after that GIJoe Kreo was sadly gone from the Canadian TRU shelves for good. I want to get some of the great sets I don't have (as well as waves 3-5 blind bags), but I am concerned the shipping/handling will be a deal-breaker.

But I do now see what you are talking about with shipping prices, though. Something that would cost $3-4 to ship in the states, would cost like $7 to go up north of the border! I was wondering about Amazon? I've heard some good things from members buying on there. Do they offer prime or free shipping on orders up there?
