Mega Bloks will launch a series of Call of Duty building sets.
The figures are fully articulated - including - swivel hinge elbows . In addition the weapons need to be assembled and include removable ammo clips amongst other features. I read there will indeed be zombie sets.
These look amazing! With potentially not much Joe product coming any time soon, these will fill a nice niche for me. I love the Mega Bloks Halo line, and it looks like I'll be loving these. The thing with MB lines is you can get vehicles, playsets, and army build a lot easier than Joe stuff. And MB is easy to find at retail. Super excited about this line! |

I bought the RIB set the other day...there is like 20+ pieces just to build the figure! They are super cool...I am definitely getting them all! The megablok website said zombies were coming as well...

I cant wait to grab a set! I've got a few substandard micro figures on my desk that desperately need to be removed by an armed group of Mega Bloks commandos. A question: How "tight" are the hip sockets connected to the hip balls? Are they "easy" to pop off I.e. if you blow on them will they pop off or are they fairly sturdy / rigid? |

A buddy of mine got the Halo sets for his kid last Christmas. He stated that they didn't assemble very easily and had to actually use a pair of pliers to get some parts to snap together. Is this typical?

my biggest complaint about halo blocks is they spontaneously falling apart. i got my son 1 set and the damn thing would never stay together so never bought another one.

So far, I have had experience with the RIB beach assault set & 2 of the mountain recon sets. The RIB is solid, it goes together well & stays together well.
The mountain recon sets might fall into the category of difficult to keep together, as there is a certain part of the build that requires more fingers than usual to get all of the parts seated right. But once the pieces are together they are pretty solid & allow for some handling & posing. I have had some of the earlier Halo Megabloks sets & they were shit. They would spontaneously fall apart moments after assembly, making it impossible to get a set together & keep it that way. Megabloks is still far behind Lego in terms of mold engineering & subsequently brick quality. However, some of the more recent sets have improved brick quality allowing for easy assembly and improved clutch strength to keep the model together. |
