I'd like to see another try at Joes in Legos but with Joe shaped figures again. That concept was well meaning but poorly timed.
Why is this desert looking trooper named Frost Bite? It had room for improvement but Built to Rule was a cool concept. If it were timed to coincide with a big push, like a movie, I think it could work. |

They just added Lord of the Rings. Did they have to? Nope. They add the new themes, new lines to get that small fan base that wants just that one line. Like any company, they want to get the small fan in the door (in this case buying the Joe sets) and hope that the fan becomes a fan of the overall brand instead of just the line (in this case buying Star Wars sets, City sets, LotR sets, Monster Hunter sets, etc..). Adding new fans is how companies grow. If they don't add new fans, they become stagnant and eventually die out.

I support GI Joe Legos! - https://picasaweb.google.com/oobrick
However, I feel that Lego or Hasbro doesn't need to make anything from an established franchise. Because Lego is for creating, coming up with something on your own. You don't need to have it created for you. |

Isn't Lego the plural of Lego?

Hasbro is already having challenges to sell its Joe products, what more with a Lego-type toyline? What does this type of toy has to offer differently with its 1/18 scale representation?
