Everytime someone brings up G.I. Joe Legos on this site I direct them to this webpage...
GI Joe A Real American Lego | Home Those models are a few years old now, but they are still cool. As far as this CUUSOO guy goes I have no idea what he is trying to accomplish with his site, though I must say that I do like his digital representations of the G.I. Joe and Cobra characters in Mini-figure form. They remind me of the models used in the Lego video games. If Hasbro ever decides to do anything similar to this with G.I. Joe I think it will be in the form of KRE-O's though. "Cuusoo is a Japanese partner of the LEGO Group. They work with the LEGO Group to produce community supported sets. If an idea submitted to the website gains 10,000 (originally 1000) supporters, it stands a chance of being produced as an official LEGO product." Anybody who knows more about CUUSOO, please feel free to chime in. Last edited by Headman; 02-25-2012 at 03:16 AM.. |

Supported. We could get a lot of supporters if this gets front paged. Ideally, it should be featured on every Joe website.

I think the GIJCC should try to get the Lego sets done. Then we can all buy them in the club store. Ohhhh wait...

Exactly, Hasbro wouldn't allow a direct competitor to use a property they own to make something they could develop and sell themselves. Quote:
I think the BTTF submission has a good chance of getting the 10,000 supporters needed to get LEGO to make this. Actually, going by the official LEGO comment for this on CUUSOO it looks like they may already be considering trying to do something for the BTTF 30th anniversary in 2015. Quote:
You misunderstand. It's not like you win and it gets done. From my understanding Lego is saying they'll see what they can do to get the winner made. It's not binding. The reason she's supporting it (And I agree) is to show Lego and Hasbro that there is interest for this sort of thing.
These are the other ideas. LEGO® CUUSOO | Discover Yeah, it's not really a contest with a single winner and contest end point. It's a way for fans and collectors to submit ideas for sets (or parts) they would like to see LEGO make. It's not necessarily good for themes as any submission that gets all the way to production will still only result in one new LEGO set. Of course, if a set is popular enough I guess there is a chance it could be expanded into an entire theme. |

My best guess...
LEGO licensed Joe's WILL sell. Hasbro Kre-O will rot on the shelves just like Built to Rule.

If they made GI Joe Legos then I would probably get them because I am such a huge GI Joe fan. My son likes Legos. I recently purchased several GI Joe Built To Rule sets. They are pretty cool. If Lego does put out some GI Joe models, or Kre O for that matter, then I hope they are able to accommodate regular sized Joes.

I'd love G.I. Joe Legos. I always love the customs see here and there and I'm a huge Lego fan.
That being said, if Hasbro was to do it, it would be Kre-O. And I think there's a good chance we'll see it happen someday. Was surprised there wasn't any in support of Retaliation. But I'm supporting this project. At the very least, it can be used to show Hasbro that there is a desire for this to happen and maybe it'll help push Kre-O Joe sets closer to happening. Front paging on my site.
