I thought I would start a new thread dedicated to Mega Bloks. I think the newest sets for Halo are of better quality with regard to fit and material, but they are still not quite as good as Lego or even Kre-o. Although I only have one other Mega Bloks set to compare. It's of a Formula 1 Mclaren race car that I picked up at discount. Not sure if that's really a good representation of Mega Bloks, but I was kind of disappointed with it overall.
I recently purchased and built the 96940 UNSC Falcon with Landing Pad and I will be posting a mini-review later on when I have a chance to take pics. Overall, I think it's a good set, but I do have some critiques that I will share later. I came across these sets at TRU today. Looks like they are trying to beat Kre-o to the punch with military themed sets. Don't you think it's interesting how they have what I think is a Cobra logo for the bad guys, although, the rattlesnake tail seems out of place. Those sets are cool but the Megablok mini-figs just drive me nuts, can't stand 'em.

Yeah, I still prefer the Lego minifigure. I think Lego seems to embrace the stylized look more and they don't try to make them too realistic or rounded. The blocky look is best for building sets IMO.
Actually, I don't think these particular sets are that great, but I just thought it resembled a Joe vs. Cobra theme a little too closely if you ask me. Personally, I'd like to see bigger vehicles with more detail on a level similar to Halo. |

At last year's Toy Fair, when Kre-O was announced, I told the Hasbro reps that they needed to do a G.I. Joe Kre-O line.

I only have this: http://www.graysage.com/cg/Toys/Mega...iker/p-003.jpg Mega Bloks Probuilder Air Striker which I got at a local swap meet for like a dollar I think. LOL.
I only bought it for the red canopy, but then I later realized that my brain refuses to let me mix Mega Blok pieces with Lego pieces... so I bought it for nothing. LOL.

MegaBlok mini figures are the best. Halo, Marvel, and Skeleton Pirates are just to badass for words.
I don't have room for all the vehicles and playsets, so it's just the mini figures I collect. |

I really don't care for the MB Marvel minifigures. To me they look like wrestler midgets.

Yeah. I thought about getting 'em but just don't look right to me.

I'm definitely more of a Lego fan, but I wouldn't mind finding a couple of the Marvel series 2 figures. Does anyone have the codes?
