By the way, I just finished My War Gone By. All I can say is...WOW.

I am now thinking of picking up the Max Punisher issues with Fury in them. I see issues 13-18 make-up the Mother Russia storyline. Are there any other Fury-centric ones?

"Mother Russia" is the big Fury centric one. "Valley Forge, Valley Forge" is another story arc of the Ennis run with Nick Fury in it. Issues 55-60 make up that story, but Nick Fury is only in issues 55 & 60 of the "Valley Forge, Valley Forge." "Valley Forge, Valley Forge" does tie up some loose ends from "Mother Russia" as does "Man of Stone," but Nick Fury doesn't appear in "Man of Stone" he is only mentioned in that one. That's it as far as Ennis Punisher/Nick Fury stories go. Nick Fury is also in Jason Aaron's PunisherMAX run in the "Frank" story arc which is Aaron's telling of the Punisher's origin story which involves Fury, "Frank" runs from issues 12-16 of that run. Nick Fury also appears in issue 22 of Aaron's PunisherMAX run titled "War's End" which is the final issue of that run. The thing I'll say about Jason Aaron's PunisherMAX run is it is a lot, and I mean a lot, more continuity heavy than Garth Ennis' run. "Frank" is more reliant on the reader having read the "Kingpin" and "Bullseye" arcs before coming into "Frank." While with "Mother Russia" you can come into it without having read "In The Beginning" or "Kitchen Irish' beforehand. Same with "Man of Stone" and "Valley Forge, Valley Forge" really the most required reading for those two arcs is "Mother Russia."

If you like Ennis' Fury-centric military titles I would also recommend The Punisher: Born and The Punisher: The Platoon those are stories about the Punisher during his service years in Vietnam. I know you aren't big into vigilantes, but those two stories are about the Punisher before he's a vigilante, I'm just putting them out there just in case you ever decide to read into them.

Interesting. I never knew Clooney was in talks for anymore CBMs after Batman & Robin wound up being so disastrous for him.

Much like Deadpool (2016) did for Ryan Reynolds, a good Nick Fury movie could've redeemed George Clooney in the eyes of fans.

True, and Deadpool was Ryan Reynolds' second time playing Deadpool after the abomination that was in X-Men Origins Wolverine. I'd throw Chris Evans in that lot with Captain America, and Ben Affleck despite BVS being less than stellar his portrayal of Batman was still well received.
