Yep. It?s the only comic I read. Yes, it?s been a struggle for the a good chunk of the IDW run, but I?m an optimist and hopeful for a renewed energy with the new publisher.

I wouldn't follow the Hamaverse. Step for Step...I would bring back the dead OG Joes Doc, Breaker, Quick kick...etc Rekill some to add stakes Battleforce lol...Members of sky patrol etc. Establish CC as a true threat and not comic relief. I think it would be interesting to do story blocks of maybe 3-4 books a story using rotations of teams. first story OG14. Then the next wave 2. Meaning Duke, Roadblock Recondo, etc...then Wave 3... the an arctic story, navy, and a story about the pilots, all with a connection. De-age Hawk enough that he can be in the field and have Colton on top dealing with the new jugglers. Give us the red Shadows with the Baron, Destro with Mars..limit the ninjas and snake eyes doing ninja stuff..and for god's sake no blue ninja crap. stop having every stray become an ashikarge. give us a cool dreadknock story..limit dr Mindbender for the love of god.

Yup. Similarly, I've been suggesting a soft reboot of the Hamaverse for some time. Same characters with the same/similar backstories, but written by someone new. Start with an updated version of Marvel's ARAH #1 to establish familiarity for old fans and go all new from there. Reintroduce the team and the villains. Make Cobra Commander a legit bad guy. One of my struggles with G.I. Joe is that there are too many good guys and not enough bad guys. Or, more specifically, not enough bad organizations. Easy fix, which I think you hinted at: keep Destro/Mars, Zartan/Drednoks, Baron/Red Shadows, etc. completely separate from Cobra. Others like Major Bludd and Firefly can be separate as well. And, like you said, limit (if not eliminate) Dr. Mindbender. This can all be done within the Hamaverse.
