I appreciate the sentiment but honestly I failed to maintain the proper level of interest. It was primarily these three folks that kept this thing going since 2016...Nero9000, Sean C and J James. They kept it funny and enjoyable. Without them, no one would bothered visit this thread. They did the heavy lifting and made this worthwhile for many. Thanks and Yo Joe!

Sometime in the future, I hope to go back..reread and replace my “Place Holders” with my brief thoughts on each issue.

Issue #292 is open to discuss... COBRA!

On Cobra Island Dr. Mindbender explains to Laura that a cruise ship booked solid with clients will bring profit into the casino. The old headquarters is nearly completely transformed into the casino now.

He takes her into the cloning facility in his lab, while still driving the amusement park cart around. The female android, Mei-Ling, is silently observing. This means that all the narrative infodump which the reader is receiving will also be going to Alpha Prime.

His plan is to make armies of eeeevil Snake-Eyes clones. Additionally Dr. Mindbender will be making another Serpentor.

In the Tomahawk over the Trans-Carpathian mountains, Stalker celebrates the capture of the Leftist terrorist Wotan. Snake-Eyes Dawn is concerned about the memories overwhelming her. She confirms what many of us have suspected, that Snake-Eyes' feelings for Scarlett were all mixed up in that. Mongoose observes this as well. Add that to Scarlett's awkward conflictions towards Snake-Eyes Sean and we have a real modern soap opera on hand.

Surprise! Wotan has a bomb in him and his fake tooth is the detonator. Stalker and Mongoose start yanking his teeth out, until they find the right one. Then Wotan pulls the pin from a grenade instead, to use it as a detonator.

Sean tackles Wotan out of the helicopter with the grenade in a move reminiscent of the death of Snake-Eyes. Scarlett freaks out and grabs his belt, pulling him back inside the Tomahawk.

Android Mei-Ling assists Mindbender in opening a cryogenic storage device. In it is the DNA of Genghis Khan, amongst others. Mindbender relates how he gave brainwave scanner technology to China in exchange for it. The others were Sun Tzu, Marshall Zukhov, and Shaka Zulu.

The Revanche leader Alpha Prime is spying on all this.

In the High Sierras, Wade Collins receives a letter from Sean. This is a reversal of the classic issue 155. In a way, it is a reply to that issue and justifies the continuance of Sean in the role of Snake-Eyes.

Sean tells his father that it is not his fault about the accident. That nobody blames Wade for convincing Sean to join the military. Snake-Eyes told Sean about the camaraderie between soldiers, and he has found it to be true.

Sean describes the attributes of his teammates. Stalker, Dawn and Mongoose. He describes Scarlett as a mother figure. It is a short letter.

Wade addresses Timber and says he needs to go see his boy.
