I was a huge fan, back when he was free to listen to/watch.
I miss his E show, maybe some day I'll break down and get the satellite radio. |

his last 5 years on sirius have been his best years..and ive been listening and watching for a long time now...just him being able to say and do whatever he wants is great shit..his last few years on regular radio werent really that great and hes admitted it. he was fed up with the constant edits and dumps and he wasnt into doing the show as much because of it

I listened occasionally when he was on regular radio, but I wouldn't pay to listen.

I'll start with saying this and I know this is not gonna be a popular opinion so be forewarned.
I'll give him his due the man took radio to a new level...but somewhere along the lines he became wrapped up in the self proclaimed title 'The King of All Media', when that happened he became pretty lazy. In the closing years of his K-ROCK show the entire show became 'show us your boobs' or 'bring in the next freak' or 'I would so do you'. It became really repetative. There were so many guests he could have done some great things with but did very little with. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed Howards Show but when he left for XM I was kinda glad, it was the all the reason I needed to not pay money for a what I had enjoyed less and less for years already. I think the show really suffered when Jackie left, and I got highly annoyed with his feud with Oppie and Anthony, it seemed beneath him...don't worry about what other broadcasters are doing, just do what you do best. Overall I think he brought the industry to a new level and certianly deserves credit where credit is due, but he peaked along time ago. I wish the man well, and I'm glad that fans still enjoy what he does, but I for one don't miss missing his show. Just my opinion. |

Just my opinion. he has since explained his last few year on regular radio and why he even admitted they werent that great. but you dont listen anymore and i totally get it but you have no idea what you are missing now... as for jackie. he was alright...my main thing i hated about jackie was you always knew which line he wrote after howard would say it jackie would do that fake laugh in the background. he came up with some brilliant bits though and i wont take that away from him but as far as a comedy writer he was average and howard proved he did not need him for the show to be successful. guess we dont have any howard fans on here oh well and you dont HAVE to pay for his show if you know what i mean. ;) i know a few people who listen everyday and dont have sirius |
