Ok I was looking at joes on ebay and I was noticing alot of people have listed moc figures for sale that are resealed. Well for me once a figure is opened it is no longer moc. I cant believe the prices these people are asking for these resealed figures. they are asking just as much for resealed as they are for sealed moc figures. Maybe its just because I found a figure I wanted to buy and I was told it was in mint condition. then i get another email stating well it has been opened and resealed but still mint. Seriously. I am still trying to figure why I go on ebay anymore.

Well since you asked, pondered and answered your own question in the same post we can go ahead and close this one down.
I love the people who put 25th Anniversary Rare Figure - and you look at it and it's Dr. Link Talbot from the VvV line. I wish there were comments you could leave so everyone could see them - "Not a 25th Anniversary Figure - DBAG." |

why dont you just leave a question for the seller like "why the hell are u lying to people about your item?" than people will see it and not be tricked.

Agreed. At the very least, every question anyone asks, whether answered or not, should be posted directly alongside the advertisement. That way people can also see if the seller bothers to answer questions, and also what kind of justification he gives for, for example, shipping, or claiming something from VvV is a 25th anniversary figure. Cause as it is, I don't think all questions are posted... I may be wrong about that.

If the figure is mint, then it's still mint on card. It would be lying if he called it MOSC or MOMC. There is a difference, but over the years people have just decided to ignore that and assume MOC is any indication of the condition the card is in. It only pertains to the figure inside.

Technically, if the bubble just fell off from the glue wearing out, and was placed back on the card without the bubble tray being removed, it would be MOC. Only technically, as a purest wouldn't consider this the case. But it wouldn't be MOMC as the glue would not be factory and so on and so forth. I guess it's all in what you want from it, I personally don't collect MOC figures for the most part, so I don't care either way.

Case in point, I have a (technically) MOC Stormtrooper. The back of the card has been cut to allow the figure to come out of the packaging. Yeah it's a mint figure on a card, so I had no problem paying the $10 I paid for it since that's the price of a mint figure. Now had it been priced at $200 or something, the price would imply that it's MOSC (or being sold by someone who doesn't know their toys ) |

I think that is a lot of the problem. Sellers think that certain buzzwords help their auctions, so the put MIB or MOC and rare, and hard to find on the garbage they just pulled out of their basement...and of course they want Mint prices because they "did their research" and found a "100% complete, still in the box one" and think that because the seller of that is asking $170000000 dollars they should get the same thing.
