Just like the title says...feel free to rant (within guidlines!)
I'll start: Current Anime. I just don't f'ing care about it. Aside from Voltron which I guess we can throw into that category...I just don't dig it. People have told me "I don't get it" or "You're nuts, this is awesome"..and you know what my answer to that is?.....Smurfs. I'd rather watch Smurfs than Vampire Hunter D or whatever. End rant, your turn. |

Vampire Hunter D is considered current, that came out when I was a teenager.

I like the older stuff, Voltron, Gatchaman (aka “G-force” aka “Battle of the Planets”). I haven’t seen all that much new stuff. The stuff I have seen, some is good, some is real good and some not so much. Just like anything else I guess.

Video games. I enjoyed the old ones from when I was a kid, but when Sega Genesis came out they ust got too damn complicated. If I have to save stuff on a memory card, and navigate around in a 3-D enviroment, I'm screwed. I just get lost, and keep walking my guy around in circles, or into walls. I have to be moving either straight up, or straight accross the screen, and have no more than two buttons, one to jump, one to shoot. If a game is anymore complicated than that, I just can't play it.

Star Wars. I loved the original trilogy (especially Return Of The Jedi) when I was a kid. But the weak storytelling and subpar acting performances of Episodes I-III, along with the continuous whoring out of a galaxy far, far away by its creator and the nonstop chatter about all things Star Wars 24/7 by my stepson has caused me to not like it so much any more.

It was the controllers that got in my way. Give the Wii a spin. I never really got into video games. I only had the original Nintendo system, but lost interest in it pretty quickly. My boyfriend has introduced me to the Wii for old systems, as well as the new Super Mario Bros and Donkey Kong Country. It's actually been a lot of fun. I don't care for the games where you have to use the double controllers.
