That's a really tough question. Like WXC said, I'd probably try the "camping" route. But I hope I, as well as no one, ever has to go through this. Though it's inevitable.

Hh. I dunno, man. I suppose I'm in a pretty special position that I have more than enough willing family members to help me out. If not my parents, then my in-laws; hell, my asshole brother would even take me in.
Beyond family, friends too. I can honestly say that, barring me being on the run for a crime, I'd eventually land on my feet. Being on the run for a crime, though, I don't know. that's a more interesting question. I suppose, if I could, I'd go to Mexico. It seems that starting over there would be easier than doing so here. Then again, this is based entirely on tv shows and movies telling me so... What I would do, I don't know. Busk a little here and there, maybe, find myself a señorita and drink as much tequila as I could get my hands on. I feel like there are plenty of opportunities for enterprising individiuals in Mexico... I don't know why I think that, though.

Oddly enough, my mom would be so psyched if I moved back in with them.
She is so much like the mom in Step Brothers it's almost scary. I can do no wrong in her eyes. Although she now sleeps in my old room cause of my dad's snoring, so I'd be sleeping in the basement. But hey, that beats sleeping on the streets! |

I'd literally sell everything I owned, including my plasma, and then I'd bank it all for later.
Then I'd research all I could about how to survive being homeless. Then, I'd start buy some warm clothes and canned food, maybe a pop up tent, crank flashlight, firestarters, that kinda stuff. And a handgun. ...then again, if I had the foresight to do all that, it's unlikely I'm going to become homeless, ain't it.

A tent and a rifle. People did it for a long time and there is plenty of public land.

In the short term I would have to dip into my rainy day savings and live off of that at some extended stay hotel to scramble to find a job. If for some reason I found myself with no job and no home after trying my best to get a job, then I would most likely have to move into my parents home or the home of a close family member. I would think that some close friends would step up, but you can't count on that as a definite. It would be a huge burden to ask a non-family member to take you in until you got on your feet. Having said that, I have a little girl to take care of so I really cannot fathom getting to that point where I had a week and no plan what to do yet.

actually if it were that bad and i had no options, i would commit some crime to get in jail, 3 squares a day, cable, sweet jobs like making license plates and you get to meet new people everyday
