I'm getting ready to undertake building a Revell F-14 Tomcat but have a question. Since I'm planning on painting this sucka to make it look as much like the product on the box, I gotta know, are you supposed to paint pieces prior to/as assembling/gluing them together OR is it advisable to assemble the the whole thing first and then trying to paint it?

Paint the parts first. This way you don't have to worry about being careful not to get paint on the wrong parts. Also is easier since once its put together, it might be hard to get the paint brush into some areas to paint.
