Yeah, pretty much. SDR for short, except rabies on its own kills and messes with the brain, this wouldnt kill the host. I think it would be an accidental virus or a lab trying to make a super soldier or a cure for something. Listen, Im not an idiot, Im not saying its going to happen or I think it is/might. Im just saying if it did happen, thats how I think it would happen, and I think it would spread fast enough to make a HUGE problem for a while, and wipe out a LOT of people.
You know, rabies is a pretty scary thing. A friend of mine recently underwent rabies treatment because, get this, he had bats in his cabin and sharing the air with a possible host is considered contact because it can be carried in the air! They said it would take a couple weeks to see if it worked, to which he replied "If it doesnt, then what?" The doctor looked at him and said "100% of all rabies infections that arent treated within 10 days are considered fatal." Thats some scary shit. Imagine that, rabies on steroids: Super short incubation period, super intensified symptoms & violence but it doesnt cause death to the host. No vaccine or antidote. That would be something to deal with. Or bubonic plague that causes a severely violent carrier and slower or no death to the carrier. Its not all that far-fetched. |

Pitt scientists resurrect hope of cheating death - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
science is already working on bringing back the dead. Some of the list is very plausible but #7 I disagree with. Most animals sense when things aren't kosher and will leave it alone. They also give us humans way too much credit, look at how we respond to disaster it takes time for us to react and some still run around like screaming idiots and would be bitten very easily. Not everyone owns or would know how to use a weapon, or be able to make the headshot. |

yes a broken femur or a severed spine will stop a person, but zeds will still be mobile. They will crawl, all they have is a base instinct to feed. Nutshot? Seriously? Not going to work on something that is dead, dead things do not feel pain. This all is dependent on what has caused the outbreak, as that will determine what will and will not work on the zeds.
