I work second shift at my job and get off at 11. I've always worked about this same shift everywhere I've worked and it has never been a big deal, I'd come home and unwind and then hit the sack. Well except recently. I don't know what it is. I can't sleep tell about 5 or 6 am if at all. There have been days where I have gone with being up for 24 or 48 hours. Anyway it feels like another all nighter or at least a late nighter. Any thoughts?

is there something heavy on your mind? I find it hard for me to fall asleep when I have too much on my mind.

Not really. Everything is sort of just going along and mostly it is fine. My roommates and me had had some issues but we have talked them out and everything seems to be fine. Some car issues but those are starting to work themselves out too.
Right now I'm watching G.I. Joe the Movie with the cometary. |

I'm no psychologist, but I've read if you can't fall asleep, you shouldn't lay in bed. Get up and do some activity til your body tells you its time to hit the hay...
Funny you mentioned G.I. Joe the movie, I just watched that the other night before bed and fell asleep after the opening theme song ended! |

I couldn't get it to work on my computer and then I read the thread talking about it not working. So now it is working. I thought I'd give listening to the commentary since I hadn't yet.

Try a warm glass of milk. Read some joe comics. Play your x-box with headphones on. Listen to classical or jazz music. Count your JOE figures. You may get tired after all of that?

Funny it works fine on my player even with skipping thru all the previews. Anyways enjoy your movie bro. I hope you get your 8hrs!

I think I might go for a walk. Though I worked eight hours and walked about 9 miles today there.

1.) Old movies. Try not the boring ones, but not a super suspense either. Something to occupy your attention. 2.) Workout/Walk. I found a simple jog or walk around the block helped. Sometimes I just needed to burn some energy. 3.) Writting. If your head has a whole lot going on, maybe just write about it. I used this a couple of times. (results may vary.)
