I wasn't asking for a reason, I was just asking if they shipped yet, so I would have felt better with no explanation at all, and just a simple "yes" I shipped.
I was pretty understanding of the Labor Day weekend, so the whole "my wife was in the hospital, and I found the package she was supposed to mail in her back seat" explanation to be unnecessary, and disappointing. |

I hate having to use that excuse when it's really, really true.

Case in point: I bought a $300 piece of electronic equipment (that could have sold for at least $500) via EBay. Days passed and there was no confirmation of shipping or no message of reason why it hasn't been shipped. I got really worried, but played it patiently. After a week, I finally sent a message asking what the deal was. That I wasn't upset for the slow shipping but just wanted a status update. I got no response. I'm guessing the seller got a better side offer (probably via local sell on Craigslist) and bailed on our agreement. I had to put in a claim that took over a month to finalize. But I do realize that getting to the PO isn't always that convenient. My local PO is a couple miles in the opposite direction of where I go regularly. The only other option is to go to the main PO where I'm guaranteed (during my lunch hour) to spend more than that amount of time. PO hours are during my working hours so just breaking away to ship a box isn't always convenient. So it has to wait until I have some free time or a day off. Which, I'm definitely able to accommodate a day or two from the purchase date since I do get alot of time of my own to manage. But the principle still applies. I don't like when people hound you right after the sale asking, "Did you ship it yet?" And then bug you like your whole life is supposed to be arranged around a box of toys.

Usually when I'm late sending out a package (almost always because I can't find the item because I have no organizational skills) I include a free figure because they had to wait extra. |

Why is it that whenever a seller is slow to ship, or there is some other type of problem, it's never their fault?
They always blame it on someone else, their wives in particular. It's not your wife's responsibility to drop the package I bought from you off at the post office, it's yours. Just saying... |

I can see how that may be annoying. I'm talking about a seller not shipping by his own listed "will be shipped by" date and then blamming it on his wife. |
