I love these...just awesome! I also like the fact that theyre cheaper and look better that paintball guns....question, on weapons such as the .50 cal, whats the range? Are they precise? My bro shot me at 10 feet range with a cheap palstic one and it did hurt and leave a mark...how do these compare? His gun is CO2 one...do these use CO2 or batteries? Are batterie powered guns shoot better or worse that CO2? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just looking into getting one..,

Those are really cool. The prices on some of those things can get crazy though, especially when you consider the fact that you can buy a brand new(still packed in grease) Yugoslavian SKS for about $189.00, but I wouldn't recommend shooting at your buddies on the weekend with it.

As for getting the real deal. To be honest, I don't own these things to kill anyone. But these are not meant to kill. They're meant to be for those who enjoy guns but don't feel the need to go through all the motions of owning a real one. If I'm ever in a position where I need to defend myself, I have my options. But in order to simulate combat action in a controlled environment, these do just fine. Besides, I can't even imagine the BS I'd have to go through to actually get a REAL .50 Caliber sniper rifle.

Here in the great state of Ohio the BS consists of nothing more than not being a convicted felon, and having the money. You only have to be a state resident to purchase a pistol here, anyone can buy a long gun. The background check consists of a 10 minute phone call and two minutes worth of paperwork. After that you just lay your money on the counter and walk out with your gun and ammo that very instant. The gun shop 2 miles from my home has a sweet ass Barret .50 for sale right now. I know what you mean though dude. The laws in California are totally different. I'm pretty sure a private citizen with out a FFL cant legally own any type of weapon that fires the .50 BMG. It is a devastatingly wicked round, I couldn't even imagine what it is like to get hit with a half inch wide piece of lead moving at supersonic speed.........ouch to say the least.

The only "real" airsoft gun I have is a battery powered Beretta 93R, although it doesn't have a working slide and realistic clip. Love the way it looks and it was neat to play around with, plus I was lucky and the price was marked down. As for toys I have an Auto 9 and a .45. I would have bought the official/name brand versions but the auto 9 was around $300 and the .45 was $100+ and I would have to buy extra gas and extra magazines. I also wanted the replica shotgun where each time you pump it a shell is ejected, but the gun plus the shells would have cost way more than it's worth. Plus NERF guns(Generics too) are getting real close to doing the exact same thing so I'll hold off until then(love the generic double-barrell).
