Of course costs will go up, because an employee (or maybe more than one) must be hired to provide this extra service. This increases cost. It either has to come out of the bottom line, or increase prices. In the end, a certain profit margin must be achieved relative to operating costs or running the business no longer makes sense.
But there are just some things that are part of the business and should be factored into the business model. IMO, and just my opinion, a live customer service is just one of the things that should be part of any business that sells items.

With regards to the comic shop, i would speculate that the above is the most likely scenario. My local comic shops only survive because they have branched out on to the web, and i know that answering the "webphone" has become another part of their BnM employee's jobs.

Re: the POC figure assortments. Hasbro sold completely through the wave 1 figures and I suspect that they do not plan to produce more of that case assortment. This means waiting until late October/November for the refresh assortment. Re: POC wave 2 figures, I do not know at the moment if Hasbro still has inventory of the current case assortment. They may well have sold these through as well. I will try to find out next week. The days of overproducing (on the part of the manufacturer) and overbuying (on the part of retailers) are definitely over. Everyone will be running a tighter ship in this economy. |

I do not have any source for the SDCC Slaughter. I highly recommend that anyone who wants the carded SDCC version(s) of this figure proceed immediately to eBay, splurge, and get them - or you will regret having missed the opportunity. There is a LOT of demand for this under-produced item and I do not think these will show up again later for less. Otherwise, you can wait for Hasbro to maybe re-release the figure in some collector-oriented set next year.

Corey, if you want I will take all calls. Pay me in a couple of joes every now and then, slide me some beers, let me crash at the office- we got a deal.
Also, I need you to know that most of my customer service reviews from referrals feature some phrases that might throw you off, like "Asshole", or "Drunken prick" and "kept talking about my tits". |

When our credit card processor says the billing address provided along with a credit card order doesn't match the card being used, processing of that order is stopped until the matter is resolved - especially for larger orders where the potential for fraud is higher. On rare occasion, our credit card processor will incorrectly flag billing address as non-matching. We do not know why. We can easily resolve it by our making a quick call to the card issuing bank, which is what we will need to do in this case since your email to us indicated you were not aware of any billing address problem.

yes when your look at your checking account being over drawn, by ordering one thing, paying bills, then the store re runs the card again, and double charges you. Then your power gets turned off over a small computer glitch. Im sitting here worried over a little toy, ending up costing me double the cost, late fees, and over drafts if charged twice by mistake(which it would be a computer glitch induced mistake, not Corey's business skills) still none the less it's a stress over a stupid toy. And a phone call / conversation would help to know something is being done, and I'm not just sitting here praying about it. And don't even let me get started on how my wife is handling this whole situation.

From your opinion your saying IE Corey shouldn't have ever opened small joes if he can't keep his profit margin and low prices while having a phone number. I don't agree with with that. I mean yeah I PREFER a business to have a phone number but depending on the business its not entirely necessary.
