They charge you for that? The people I go to are so honored to trim my balls that they do it for free and with a smile on their face.

i usually pay 25 for a shave and cut...and at least a 5 dollar tip
beer and wine...i don't know that i'm in the chair long enough to drink...and with a straight razor at my throat i don't think i'll risk that either i think i'd also request an on the spot breathalyzer for the employees :P |

I never got the idea behind having beer at a barbershop. Don't you get hair in it? Are you supposed to drink while getting your hair cut? Just seems like a bad idea to me.

The girlfriend's a hair stylist. I get mine cut for free. She normally charges $40 for guys and $60 for the gals.

$12 bucks for a shaver, and I've been shaving my own since my days in the corps. Plus, Ive got realy thick curly hair, so I cant do anything else with it anyway...

I gotta ask... why are we giving tips for haircuts? I thought we gave tips to people who bring us food and drinks. And yes... my haircut cost me 15.00 with a small tip BUT DAMN!!! What is the deal with tipping?? Hell... do you tip the salesman at a car dealership after they screw you out of every dollar you have? Do you tip the nice lady at Wal Mart when she goes to the backroom and brings you out some joes that are not on the shelf?? So what's the deal with haircuts??

It depends. I'll often just shave my head. If I feel like having hair and maintaining it, I'll usually pay about 60$ or so at the place I got to. The guy who does it does an amazing job, and I only really see him a couple times a year, so I don't mind paying a little extra.
