What's that one restaurant that you just love to death? For me it's Dairy Queen.
Most restaurants suck when it comes to desert. But Dairy Queen rocks! They have awesome food, I love everything there. They have great prices, awesome burgers & dogs & I never feel ripped-off. I get all the same stuff I can get at McDonald's, Burger King or Hardee's but then when it's time for desert nobody can beat them. Their marshmallow waffle bowl sundae is to die for! On top of that, I live in East TN. Everywhere I go they're playing that country shit. I can't stand it. I go into Dairy Queen & they're playing 80's rock. I'm sitting there enjoying my meal & they're cranking Joan Jett, Missing Persons, Blondie, Berlin, Go Go's, Belinda Carlisle, Bon Jovi and I even heard Dragonforce one time. It's like my own personal time warp. Back to the 80's I go! Nothing beats that place. |

Red Robin. Yum.
I love a good burger and beer. Nothing in the world beats it. Also, CiCi's Pizza. All you can eat pizza, pasta, salad and dessert, for $5.99. That's hard top. |

For me it has to be a local joint called Red Mesa, latin and cuban food. As for dessert they have this deep fried ice cream covered in a habanaro hot fudge sauce, absolutey to die for.

I tend to dislike chain restaurants, so my favorites are local places.
Raj Mahal: an Indian buffet around the corner from my house. Delicious and cheap. Dinner gets pricey, but the buffet can't be beat. University Pizzeria: killer Italian food by a dude that everyone calls Tank. He is amazing. He makes all of his own sauces, has different specials everyday and makes the best BBQ sauce I have ever tasted. My current favorite: cheeseburger with Jack cheese, sauteed onions and the BBQ sauce. It is heaven. Windsor Pub: a shit hole, dive bar with an intensely large namesake burger. 3/4 lb. beef patty with mushrooms, onions, provolone cheese and mayo. Home cut fries and a pickle, less than $6. Luigi's: best pizza in Akron. By far. Open till 4 in the morning. Always a line. Always worth the wait.

Fast Food: Chick-Fil-a, I like everything there, and have never had bad service. In fact, the service is generally better than a sit-down restaurant. Plus, the food is, for the most part, healthier than most fast food places. You can easily eat a meal for 500 calories. Whataburger is a close second, for food, not service.
Sit-down restaurants: Sea Food: Pappas & Pappadeaux's Tex-Mex: Pappasitos & Lupe Tortillas Asian: Mongolian grills Italian: Maggianos Steakhouse: The Capital Grille There are plenty of local places, but these will be recognizable to most people. |
