no no I love the TRS. I drove Ecto 1 around NYC while NEVER finding ghosts on a TRS 80. I copied an entire page of code on my TRS 80 to turn my monitor red and make monotone noises What I meant was: compared to a TRS 80 my Dell XPS is complete and utter shit! Much love and respect for the TRS 80

I used to be pro Dell. But, I ran into issues with their darn laptop power supply. If you want it to charge your laptop properly you need the "Dell" power supply. From what I've read, theirs has a special chip that your Dell laptop must detect in order to charge the battery. This is so you can't use any aftermarket power supply. Well, you can use an aftermarket power supply, but it will only supply power. It won't charge the the battery. Then they make the special wire/pin that sends the single the computer needs to detect fragile and prone to breakage. F@*k Dell!

i have 3 macs (ibook g4, and 2 imacs) and one dell laptop. being a photographer, sometimes i come across things i need the PC for, but 99.5% of my work is on my macs, and everyone i deal with daily is on a mac. Graphic designers, other photographers, printers, etc. .psds are .psds, and .jpgs are .jpgs what ever system your on, but photoshop runs a universe smoother on my macs than on my pc. (CS4)
i'm not a game player AT ALL, hell, i don't even play facebook games, so the lack of mac versions of software at retail has no effect on me. |

It used to be that all the good software was on the PC, and that Mac's were better for graphics. Those stereotypes still hang around, but they just aren't true any more. Pretty much anything worth having on a PC is available on a Mac, and nowadays Photoshop rus just as well on PCs as it does on Macs'.
I've never owned a Mac, but I've used them quite a bit, and they are fine. I don't find them any easier to use then Windows, but I've also been using Windows for a lot longer. I've got an iPhone that like quite a bit, but I plan on moving to the Android platform once my contract is up because iTunes is such a piece of junk. From looking at friends it seems to me that Dell's and Mac's have about the same level of build quality. The Mac's might be a bit better, but they are also a lot more expensive. In the end it doesn't really matter what you use. I've got a Lenovo laptop and I love it. I use a Dell at work, and it's never had a problem. |

I've got a Mac, and a Gateway. In the past I've had a toshiba and a dell.
As you would expect the Mac has been way less of a pain in the ass, while it does occasionally have it's issues, it's no where near the level of the PCs. My gateway from 2000 still runs just fine (although slow as hell), I only use it now to do pixel artwork on MS paint, since I do all my Graphic Design and Photography stuff thought the Mac. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Dell and Toshiba are by far two of the worst computers I've ever owned. Stay away from them at all costs if you can. Go Sony if you wanna stick with PC (god knows why you would?), Go Mac for minimal headaches. @Xenos: Photoshop certainly doesn't run as well on PC. I used PS on a PC for 7 or so years before I got a Mac, and the difference is astounding.

I have a mac and use bootcamp to run windows to for my blu ray ripping programs, because the mac blows when it comes to programs.
