Went to see Hardcore Justice at a friends house. Man it was awesome and gruesome. ECW was alive and kicking that nite.

What were some of the highlights of the ppv? I was really bumed to hear that Jerry Lynn was injured and could not wrestle RVD. I compare Savage vs Steamboat to some of the matches RVD and Jerry Lynn put on in ECW. When I watched The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke the whole time I was thinking he looks like Jerry Lynn. |

Apparently this angle is tearing TNA apart. There are wrestlers so upset at the build and usage of airtime dedicated to what is essentially a throwaway PPV that has no longterm effect on TNA, that some are contemplating asking for their release.
I'm sure it was a great PPV, but why put the current and future of the company on hold for ANOTHER ECW rehash? Paul Heyman thought it was a bad idea and wanted nothing to do with it, that must say something...Bischoff is killing TNA. |

Didn't see the PPV, but it sounded fun, maybe when it hits DVD I'll buy it, but I gotta say I can understand the TNA guys complaints.
Don't get me wrong I love ECW, and I'm sure it was great to see these guys back, but its little more than WWE did with the first One Night Stand PPV they hosted. The glory days of ECW are over lets let them rest already. But WWE is no better they brought ECW back and never REALLY supported the product...any new talent it developed they just drafted to RAW and let the New ECW sink. |

The RVD match was decent, as was the Team 3D match, but other than those,...total garbage. It was cool to see the old guys again,... but then again, isn't that what TNA is good for. I really want TNA to do well, but dedicating an entire PPV to a group of guys that have nothing to do with your storylines is a wrong move. Lets wait and see what the buyrates are,..but I'm betting low.

ECW was an innovative, interesting concept & promotion, but without the key ingredients, it is just another knock-off.
Even WITH Paul E., and the old school ECW team, it would have a harder time making it today, with so much similar competition in ROH and some of the Japanese promotions. It was a great ere for wrestling that has come & gone...I wish they would let it rest. |

I liked the WWE/ECW idea had any real thought or effort been put into the idea it would have been helpful.
If RAW is the 'A' show and Smackdown is the 'B' show, then ECW was the 'C' show. Any talent that started to get interesting was immediately pulled for the 'A' show making ECW less and less interesting. Its hard to develop anything decent when the show was nothing more than a place to bring new talent in, and place to send talent that they had nothing better to do with. |
