I think its a bad idea to plan to quit on a specific date or time in the future, ever wonder why new years resolutions rarely stick. The best time to quit anything is now.

I will say this, one of the tricks I did was to Keep ONE Cig on hand. For some reason just knowing you have ONE on hand keeps the panic attacks down, and even though you are not planning on smoking it, its there like a security blanket.
If you do give in and smoke it, then you gotta replace it with just one, but make sure its not a pack because if you give in and smoke its only one and not the whole damn pack. As a matter of fact the other day I was cleaning and in one of my drawers I found my One on Hand smoke from three years ago. I finally threw it out and I have not had any issues or urges, so I consider myself completely stopped smoking.

I smoked over two packs a day for more than 15 years and I just hit my first week completely smoke free. If I can do it...anyone can.

Here's what worked for me. I was struggling with figuring out a way to get MissyDee to quit smoking so I got her pregnant. Hope that helps.

Here's what you do. Everytime you feel the urge to smoke, find the biggest guy with the biggest "popeye" arms you can find, and pay him $50 bucks to shove one of those popeye into the old poop-eye over and over again. After that, I guarantee you won't have the urge to smoke any more ... or maybe you will.

I went thru hypno therapy after trying everything else possible to quit. I've been tobacco free for a year and 19 days'. I smoked for 16 years and I am glad I made the choice to quit and I am proud of you in your decision to quit. Keep busy and keep resolute in your decision. Do research on cigarettes' man. They are so nasty in how they tear up the body. Think about the $$$ you'll save and can put toward your hobby. Motivation right there bud. Congrats and you can do it bro.
