Yeah right
Figures shouldn't cost more than minimum wage. Hmmm.... maybe Hasbro should bring it back to the States, create jobs, jobs=money, money=spending, spending =better economy. OK, I'll pay $10 a figure, heck I paid $13 for a ROC Kamakura |

Yeah, let's add up all the collectors who say they would pay that, and then add up all the parents who say they would pay that for a toy, subtract the number of people who are totally full of crap, and you'd have about a tenth of what you'd need to sustain the line.
Seriously, people here bitch enough as it is at $7. The whole franchise would die overnight if they went up to $10, which I think is a ludicrously optimistic number as it is. Compare what a factory worker and expenses here vs China, and the figures would be closer $15 a pop. |

Yeah that would justify the extra cost for me too, as long as American citizens were making the figures. But if that were the case, they'd probably be $15-20 instead of $10.
Even though I would seriously still buy them at 15-20 (I mean hell, I buy MOTUC for 29 after shipping and tax now and they're a side line for me), it would never ever be sustainable and that's why toy production was pushed out of this country a long time ago. |

Don't turn it into a matter of patriotism. Made here or in China, the $10 price point is unreasonable. Haul out your flags when the same pricepoint is slapped on a $10 figure that is only worth $5 and you're still willing to pay it. Don't expect the sales point to drop, just because it's made here, especially when the company alreay knows so many are willing to pay 9 bucks a pop.
