I don't know if any of you use this (or would care to). There is a great (free!) financial tool out there. Free Personal Finance Software, Budget Software, Online Money Management and Budget Planner | Mint.com
They just got bought out by quicken, so get in while it's still free. It syncs to your bank account(s) and you can use it to track spending, setup a budget and whatnot. They also have an app that links to Android and Iphone/touch. It is kind of depressing though when you see your monthly spending at Toys R Us exceeds everything else....

Call me old-fashioned, but I'm still stuck in the ol' ledger and register style of personal bookkeeping. Of course, I have everyone in the house on a weekly cash budget so there aren't a whole lot of ATM and Debit Card transactions to keep up with, plus I like to rip checks out of the ledger like Johnnie Casper in Miller's Crossing when it's bill pay time.
