Wow, these are great finds!
I remember when I got back into JOEs after the two or so year period in HS when I didn't buy toys - I had a girlfriend (LOL) and I made an AWESOME Joe lot purchase. I worked at a Kay-Bee Toys, this is when Battle Corps first came out, and I was FREAKIN on the fact that I got to open fresh cases, something now that always takes me back. Anyway, a co-worker was like "You wanna come buy my GI JOE stuff?" and I swear to you I got almost EVERYTHING from 84-87 except the Flagg for $60! Including the Terror Drome, Hydrofoil, JOE HQ, WHALE, TONS of figures and weapons - it was so great! While my family went out to eat, I stayed home cleaning the Terror Drome with a tooth brush! I'll never forget that night..not really a Yard Sale, but sorta..I bought all the stuff out of a barn, so, Barn Sale?

I sat up at a flea market this past weekend and sold some Joe related items. I sold vintage Joe figures for $3 each or 2/$5. I then went down to $2 each. I had a few people who wanted to "make me an offer" on the entire lot...I literally had (150+) figures. When I wouldn't budge on selling them below $1 each, I had a fellow who bought about 60 figures for $85. He then told me his "son" had an eBay store. I guess everyone wants to find a bargain or get their toys on for cheap.
I love to go to flea markets and yard sales and pick up Joe items for the cheap. I just hate "giving" the toys away because I like to be able to sell my extras and buy what I really want. I have fun selling at the flea markets, but those hot days are extremely long! |

Agreed...if you have something you think is worth a ton of money, use eBay or set-up at a convention. Flea Markets and small auction houses are where you should find the bargins.

Honestly, if I could find a lot of vintage figures for $1-2 each, I'd buy a bunch... finding stuff like that at a flea market is fun.. sadly most people around here go "THIS STUFF IS A GOLDMINE! IT'S WORTH A TON ON EBAY! I CAN'T USE EBAY, BUT MY GARAGE SALE/FLEA MARKET TABLE IS JUST AS GOOD TO CHARGE OUT THE ASS AT!"
