Okay, I have a seagate back up hard drive that I store my music on. I want to store a back up copy of my dvds.....how do I do it?
Seriously I am not that computer literate and if itunes wasnt so easy to store the damn hard drive would be empty . With my sons interest in my cartoon sets I want to ensure that if he messes one up I can just make me another copy. |

RipIt4Me works great. I think you have to have DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter installed as well, because RipIt4Me uses both of them. I have copies of my Joe toons thanks to it, so now I don't have to worry about my boy breaking them

you could use software to make DVD "images" to store on your harddrive. I think most coping software lets you do it if they arent copyright protected.

The dvd decrypter program handles the copy protection on the source disc. The dvd shrink compresses the video to fit on a single layer dvd (4.7 GB). RipIt4Me is like an autopilot for these two programs and handles all of the technical crap for you. It has a 1-Click mode where all you really need to tell it is where to store the temporary files it creates during the process. When it is done, you just manually delete those files to get your hard drive space back. Real easy
