Dude, there is no need to be a wuss about it. The snake doesn't need to die. Put on some gloves and a coat and get a broom handle or a yard stick. Grab the snake by its tail, lift it up, place the stick under its body directly behind the head, and carry it outside.
By the way, I'd be more concerned with why it came into your house. Snakes generally don't come into homes unless tempted by mice or rats. |

I don't have personal experience with them, but I used to work for Lowes and based on what customers said they seem to work only 50% of the time. Some people said they caught everything EXCEPT the snake. They also fall apart when they get wet.
I'm also not a fan of glue traps. If you want my personal opinion, I would call Animal Control and see if they will come out for free. If they won't then I'd probably just try to get him out with a stick or something. Kinda hard to give advice without knowing the spot he's in. I live in the middle of nowhere, there is no animal control for something like this. I'll try the stick method. 50/50 is better than nothin. There's a crack in the foundation somewhere that I can't find that's why they're coming in. Obviously there's field mice in my house that's a given when you live on a farm surrounded by corn fields. The foundation needs to be addressed since this is the fourth time I've had a snake in the house in the last year. I really don't know why everyone else is posting on not killing the snake when I already said I'm not even entertaining the argument so don't bother. |

Yeah, try the stick method, or if you have a root breaker (something similar) just cut his head off. |
