Rat poison is probably your best bet. Remove his food source and he will remove himself. Either to find food elsewhere or die from starvation. Does your area have animal control? They will remove an animal from your home free of charge in this area at least. Another option would be a humane society or maybe some sort of local reptile lovers club to help ya out. For fuzzy critters the humane society will give you traps to use for free. Granted they are for relocation elsewhere on earth as opposed to heaven.

I would call Billy the Exterminator from the Discovery Channel. Then beat him and his whole fuckin' family over the head with a shovel.
Oh, for the snake? I think they sell bait traps @ home depot/lowes.

Chances are he came in for a reason. Either knew food was around or to seek warmth. He may be gone by now. You cant kill something for doing what it does naturally. We dont kill you for looking for food or a place to rest safely. Just take him back outside. Chances are depending on your location he is harmless like a rat or king snake and your not gonna die from a bite from one of those, may hurt a bit, but not gonna die.

Oh and try a brown bag put in a dark spot, favorably the warmest. It may go in their cause 1.) Place to hide, and two warmest place around. just out it behind something and not in the open and along the walls of the room.

I say you take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I'm also not a fan of glue traps. If you want my personal opinion, I would call Animal Control and see if they will come out for free. If they won't then I'd probably just try to get him out with a stick or something. Kinda hard to give advice without knowing the spot he's in. |
