I already have it. I could ask for nothing better in this life than what I have been given! It has challenged and enhanced me in ways I couldn't have imagined 13 years ago. I have been able to take advantages of opportunities to stretch out to other fields too, and try out alternatives!
As for why-well, anyone that tries it will understand within a year. |

I have always thought it would be cool to work for military arms manufacturer. I would love to be the guy that gets to test fire all of the new and experimental weapons.

Radio disc-jockey (preferably playing 80's music, but just about anything will suffice at this point)
I almost achieved my dream about 10 years ago while interning with a local radio station...but I eventually had to get a real job and since then I've been dreaming of getting back to radio....and it stings/flatters me when I hear people tell me all the time I should be in radio....and I say "well, I almost was....hopefully one day". But I'm getting closer to it again. For the past 2 years I've been a nightclub DJ on the weekends, so I'm hoping having that on the resume + my demo cd's + other experience I've had will help. The only thing I really don't have is a broadcasting degree. :( But besides that, I'm ready. This truly is my dream job and I mean it. I've been practicing since a very early age in the early 80's with a dual cassette deck and a microphone. Until I can land a real broadcasting job, I'm going take up a new hobby and start a "shoutcast" (winamp's proprietary format) radio station that plays all 80's...for fun and to hopefully get my voice out there so I can take recordings to a local radio station and say, "here ya go...here's what I can do." And yes, besides that I do know my way around most audio equipment. That's my dream job. It doesn't usually pay great, but that's what I've always wanted to do no matter what.

I would like to seriously get back into trying to do comics again. I think I was right on the verge of breaking in 10 yrs ago when our house burned down, and I had to put everything else on hold to find a "real job". I've been slacking on my drawing (only improving marginally since I did these pages), but I've been working on my writing quite a bit. Zefram on deviantART BTW, that Deviantart page is horribly out of date. I've just barely got a computer now so it'll be a bit before I've got a scanner and tablet to put some recent crap up there. |

I studied pleanty of things in the Television & Film industry, including Video games. I was even trained on the same software that was used to make Playstation and Nintendo-64 games, but as soon as I graduated the PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, and Xbox came out, so basically the software that I was taught on became obsolete. I did end up getting 2 degrees though. One in Digital Media, and the other in TV & Film Production. I had some cool gigs over the years, but it's really hard to get steady work. Sometimes you wait months inbetween shooting before another gig comes along. After awhile I had to give up my dream because I was basically living paycheck to paycheck, and with freelance gigs you don't get any medical coverage. Finally I decided to focus on one thing only instead of many little things at once. I wanted to have only one job which would give me a paycheck every week or two guaranteed. This job had to be a secure one that included benefits. That's when I chose to work strickly in the Television industry for one network only instead of working for many private contractors all at once. Most TV stations are on the air 24-7 these days, so there is always work to be done. With the Film industry once a movie is done shooting it's over and you have to wait until the next one comes along. Working on TV shows is basically the same thing, but if you are employed by the network instead of by the show you could end up with a steady job instead of working freelance. If you have any questions send me a PM and I will see if I can help you out with anything.

I used to want to work for Pixar. At this point in my life, I'd rather be wealthy enough to run around the country buying old/rare/unusual vehicles, restore and resell them. I'd like to specialize in older military vehicles.
To be honest, any job that keeps me physically active would be good. I'd like to work in parks and services too. I'd like to be able to afford to take some NOLS classes.
