sorry craigslist is full of warning and also the rule of the land (as in law ) is buyer beware (there is no such thing as customers always right ,
it boils down to you made a decision and a seller can not be responsible for your decision good or bad. What you need to do is slash his tires or stink bomb his car something like that. |

Particularly in this economy no one is giving a great deal for no reason on Clist. Always be cautious. That's why the Hisstank is 70% heaven, there are some got merchants/homies.

Everybody drop it this is the only warning that will be given. I already count 4 rules broken, so keep this civil or the thread will be closed and infractions may be given.

Hope it goes well.
Next time however, if you got a 100 cash? Go to a local paintball shop, they have used trade ins all the time--a 100.00 bux would have gotten you a used Tippman 98 with all the trim ready to play! |

My suggestion to you would be to see if you know any lawyers. Ask them to call and speak with him or leave a voicemail message. They should simply state that they'd like to resolve the issue before going to file with the court. Of course the idea here is to not have the actual intention of going to court. The threat/fear of going to court may be enough to push him into settling the issue with you. He is young as you stated and most likely not very wise to the way the world works. I would print out the craigslist posting and save a digital copy of it if you still can as this will be the most important evidence for your lawyer friend to mention.

You're incredibly naive if you think that's going to fly with law enforcement.
The seller did nothing, technically, illegal. It is, in fact, YOUR responsibility to check the product out to make sure it works right before buying it. As soon as you give the other person your money, it'sover. You just agreed to accept the item in whatever condition it's in. Now, of course it's different when you buy from a store, or off eBay, due to legal protections on those avenues. But person to person sales like that, too bad. You don't have any protection after they get the money, and while you can take them to court for a civil case, you're going to be wasting a hell of a lot of time and money just to get the case thrown out. You won't win those cases. OP, you just learned a valuable life lesson, to insure the condition of the item is acceptable before buying it. Don't go making it two life lessons, and go learning what it's like to be on the wrong end of law enforcement. And if the guy wanted to, he can charge you with a felony for attacking him with a gun. It could, given the right lawyer, be an attempted murder charge you'd be fighting against. Either way, you become a felon, say goodbye to anything you want to do with your life. No good jobs, no good credit, nothing. Oh yeah, and several states have laws that say the home owner or resident may kill you for stepping foot or threatening their property. Someone shoots someone's house with that crap, and you bet someone is going to exercise that right, and someone else is going to be dead. OP, you got a rare and valuable chance to show your kids some important life lessons here, at no cost to them. Instead of ruining your life over what's really a minor inconvenience with a toy, you should better your children's life with those lessons. "One ohf them pulls a knife, you pull a gun, on ohf them sends your guy to the hoshpital, send their's to the MORGUE!"

Quite true!!! Which is why I say DO IT!!! The guy is pissed. He tried to resolve it peacefully and got ignored. The system can't do anything for him. What's he supposed to do? Swallow the $100 and let the jackoff seller who resides with his mom think he can get away with that BS?!?!
HELL NO!!! It's not like we're saying go beat this guy up or threaten him. All he's doing is evening the score. The guy won't give him the $100 back for the bogus deal. Then the guy can spend that $100 earned replacing some windows. *This sailor don't talk no trash he can't back up... Period.* It dosen't matter about Johnny Law...whether your in a large city or boofu alabama (no offense Alabamians) There's ways around the system as long as you stay cool and are rightous in the endeavours! Whether it's the Tank, Craigslist, Ebay, or Corporate, if you get shite (that's right...good ol' IRISH SHITE) service from someone, they need to be held accountable. Unfortunatly Craigslist, or Ebay isn't a big box retailer like Wally-Mart that you can just return GARBAGE that you end up buying! and the RESPECTABLE thing to do is teach em' a lesson! If I end up returning something to a Big Box, I let em' know what's the deal and demand my money back, why is CL or Ebay any different, and the only difference between THOSE two is no seller/buyer satisfaction reports on CL... F all, at least the tank has em' So yeah, through CL he should have been more carefull, and he wasn't...but the SELLER is also held accountable. I would raise hell for some SHITE (again...IRISH!!!) that I bought from Target and DEMAND retribution. A few windows for the OP should be just as good.
