Yep if you're connected you can get anything you want, when you want.

I can attest, as someone who works at Walf***, that this was something out of the ordinary. We seriously don't keep anything extra in the back unless the shelves are completely full and a box came in anyway. This does happen with HW, but most people who work in toys know all about the "green stripe" crap. People ask me all the time for stuff in the back and think I'm lying, but a good store will be keeping track of their merchandise so as not to clog up the backroom. Unless it was something special (like we got Toy Story 3 garbage about a month in advance) then you really would have to keep checking because we'd have no clue when more would come in.

I watched a man in his 50's in a grocery store whisper to himself "let's see what's in this one" as he opened up a package of a "mystery car", a package that you could not see in. The car was clearly common, as he left it there and left the package on the shelf. I purpously walked up to him and called him a dirtbag and told him that if he wants to see the car he should pay 1.89 for it, he told me to F off and I seriously contmeplated throwing him into the frozen pizza section. I went up to the front desk and told them there was a strange smelly man in the toy section opening up packages. Hot Wheels collectors are sketchy. The're like zombies......there should be a guidebook what to do when you run into them in society.

My Walmart has to have things in the back. They always have half lines on the pegs for DCUC.

I worked at TRU years ago and these guys would show up almost every week and bother the staff sometimes almost starting fights demanding for people to go in the back and bring out all of the unopened cases(all our cases were on the racks) found out later these hot wheels fanatics will follow the TRU trucks and also know when hot wheels are delivered , and yes they smell bad,
But hey as much as they are annoying and creepy, its better they fixated over toy cars than killing people |
