I have a few MOC figures that I cannot get myself to open. Most are MU figures that fetch a great price moc like Bullseye, Vision, Jean Grey, etc... I also kept my 25th Doc Moc in the mailer and Kamakura as well.
Oh, and the several Motuc figures and 25th TMNT I have are all MOC. Play with the toys! often they look real good on the card but I think its hard to appreciate all the aspects of the figure design and accessories without opening them. I need to open those MOTUC figs...

I started off a moc collector because I love the card art just as much as I love the figures plus Im not really a play with my toys kind of collector and I felt it would be easier to display and maintain a moc/mib collection. After moving from 1 apt to another apt I came to the realization that I had entirely to much stuff with limited space and decided to slim my collection down. I did this by selling off alot of my older stuff and opening most of my newer items. I do still have waves 1-8,mail away doc and the 3 original 5-packs moc/mib but everything else, that I plan on keeping(25th/me/roc)is open. I will continue to be an "opener" with the exception of certain exclusives(slaughter, etc)

I remember getting the first 5 packs and thinking about keeping them in the boxes. Then I had to open them and decided to get a second set of boxes to keep mint. I wasn't going to buy the carded figures at first, but broke down shortly thereafter. And pretty much bought at least one to keep MOC while it was the 25th line.
I stopped keeping MOC when it moved to the ROC line. It is about the packaging. |

I started out as 1 MOC and 1 open.I have W1-4(or 5) MOC.Then they got to hard to find and the prices kept going up.I said screw it and started opening everything i bought.I don't really keep up with the value of them.Maybe that makes it easier for me to open them.

With the 25th line, I bought everything to keep MOC/MISB, but certain figures I would buy extras of to open. I never open up a figure unless I already have it MOC.
I started out only buying to keep sealed, but after I got my first extra figure, I decided to open it up, then I just went from there and ended up troop building.

i am goin to have a problem withmy kamakura if i dont find another cheap to open.
at first everything was for my son to open and play with. heatviper made me think twice about collecting moc. i decided to just do the foil cards from the 25th line moc. then i realized some great guys like eels, snowserpents, bazooka and hawk are on yellow cards only. ohh well. i am trying to talk myselfoutof keeping any moc roc stuff. if i did itwould start with the paratrooper and shipwreck commando, and maybe that would be it. poc looks sweet though! i betidfind some in theretokeep moc. : (
