No it's not a song title. I've vented in person, and I need to write this down to. Not that anyone here cares all that much, but cheers for reading.
It's just me and my son at home. It's been that way since my crazy bitch of an ex went assed out retarded crazy. When we were together she had a 2 year old daughter (not mine) and everything was normal enough. Once my son was born, she went off the end. I mean off the end, tried to throw me out of a moving car, threw a toaster at me, became abusive towards the kids. She kicked me out of our apartment and I was forced to go into a custody battle for my son. On Christmas Eve a little over 3 years ago I had my son for a Holiday visit. My ex had her Daughter with her (that's an even longer story to tell). Long story short, a concerned citizen witnessed her daughter fall down on the sidewalk, and my ex, instead of helping her up, started kicking her. The person, who I have never been able to thank in person, followed my ex home and called the police. I received a call from DCF that night asking if it was ok for my son to stay with me. He's been with me ever since, a little more than a years worth of court battles, way to much in legal fees and whatnot I have sole custody. His mother has 1 hour of state supervised visits each week. SO, for 3 years it's been me and my son, I work full time, he's in daycare. My ex pays nothing. No support, nada. She works as a Stripper, I have proof of this as I've had to have paperwork served to her at the titty bar she works at. But, it's all under the table, so I see nothing. I make a decent living at what I do, and I've never depended on the state for anything except day care support. Our of the $1200 a month it costs for my son to go to Daycare, the state was paying 380 of that. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough that we have a decent apartment, and few extra bucks for GI Joes now and then. With the state support, you have to renew every 6 months. I sent in my paperwork for the 1st part of this year and I get a letter back telling me that I am above the income line for support. Good f***ing grief. Because I earned a bonus from last year, payable this year in March, the dollar amount put me over the income guideline for a single parent. I now have to pay the full amount for my sons care, and 5 months of back payment for the different. Just under $2k. I really just want to say screw it all, quit my job and let the state take care of me. Because of this now I we have to move out of our apartment. Can't afford the rent, I have enough in savings to cover a few months, but not until September. Sorry this is long and dis-jointed, I'm just so pissed and have nowhere to go with it. Thanks for reading. I now give you something pleasent: Yes, that is Amanda Bynes. God damn.

Sorry to hear this, man. I would love to give my two cents on what you've just said, but there's no way I can w/out this becoming about politics, so all I can do is offer my condolences.

I understand your frustration. Thank god my ex wife and I have retained a good relationship, and I get to see my daughter for a month during the summer. It would be more, but they live way down south. Don't know if it would be worth your time, but you might consult (more) legal assistance to see if there are some loopholes you could jump through. Good luck.

My condolences man. But this would definitely go political, so I'm just gonna say BUCK that FITCH! Some people shouldn't have kids... She's one of them. She'll get hers eventually.

I have a similiar story, but I don't want to detract from your venting.
Everything will be alright. Do you have family/friends that you can turn to for help? I'm lucky enough to have both, and I know I can always depend on them. |

Dude I'm so sorry to hear this...believe me I've been there with the legal battles and custody hearings and the one thing you can focus on to bring you some joy right now is that you have your little boy with you full time! I know you'll find a way to get through this bro! I'll keep you in thought man!

After reading this I am so glad I didn't get the EX pregnant. You have a tough road ahead of you. Just hang in there eventually things will work out. I am just passing the seven month mark and things are finally starting to clear up from my mess.
