Yeah, it's tough, I just got full custody of my son this year.
No matter how tough it gets, just stop, take a look at that little guy playing quietly somewhere... and all that peace and joy will come right back to you. If you love your son half as much as you sound like you do... then it doesn't matter how hard it gets... You've got your son. And we know you won't take the easy way out, because you are raising him to be a young man, and you know that's not the example you are going to set. But I totally understand the temptation. Me and the Mrs will pray for you... I hope you get it all worked out. |

This all sucks, but I can't help but wonder if it might be time to seriously rethink your priorities - you have items on your BST and did I see a back from vacation bump in there recently? Find a brick and mortar toy dealer and clean house, for starters...
I'm just saying - cash is king these days. If you're going on vacation and can't cover your child care bills - that's not good, regardless of whether your bat$hit crazy ex is helping or not. |

To your knowledge has she ever been treated for Postpartum Depression? I wonder if mental illness could be the root cause of such a drastic and unfortunate change? I have a friend who went through a similar expereince, after the birth of their child his wife went off the deep end and eventually ran off with a drug dealer. She has not even called or seen their kid in over a year. Keep your chin up man, better times lie ahead.

No, as I was saying to someone else she was as sweet as pie when we we're dating. Really nice, quiet. Then, after my son was born it was like someone flipped the switch. She was living on the streets for a while, arrested 4 or 5 times. you name it. She's on probation right now, possibly pregnant again (for the 4th time, she had another one with god knows who after we broke up) and is living with an ex-con/meth addict)
About what I said! She' really "all that" now! |

Yeah man, It is a brutal shame that our society rewards those who don't do a damn thing and punishes those that do all they can and just need a hand up once in awhile.
It is what it is. Much respect for you my man, its great to see a parent step up and take on responsibility.. well.. like a real man. Things will work out, and I'll be pulling for you on my end too.

You take 2 steps forwards & they push you back 5. As soon as you think you're doin ok & are ahead of the game they slam you with something like this. All they're really capable of doing is fucking everybody over. That's all they know how to do & they're darn good at it!

Please note as well, I'm just bitching in general about 1. My ex and 2. the state. I will get through this, I've made it through worse spots with my dignity (and Joe collection) in tact. My friends in the real world have heard all of this bitching before, so I decided to use the relative anonymity of the net to spew out the crap in my brain.

Why would this be an issue? I'm sure he didn't take that vacation after he received the letter that he's losing support.
