Hey all. I realized I don't see many posts about your experiences meeting other HissTank members very often on here.
I have to say that without some of the networking done on this site I certainly would not have found some vehicles I was looking for. Meeting up with fellow Hisstanker Skipper today. We are doing a trade, some Funskool Skystrikers for some True Heroes F-18 Hornets. Since I live around the block from where the F-14 was built ( Grumman ) I'm gonna take him over to their small museum and show him the F-14D VF-31 Tomcatters #101 that is sitting in front of Grumman HQ. Skipper is a fan of the F-14 Tomcat so this will be a cool outing for him I hope. I'm looking forward to it because I get my F-18's today, get to meet a fellow Hisstanker, AND get to share my love for the F-14 Tomcat with another Aircraft buff. I am also gonna take him to the old Plant 5 building where the F-14 was actually built. Although it is closed and Hollywood rents the building to film movies now, most recently SALT with Angelina Jolie....( AND OH YES, I saw her hubba freaking hubba lol. ) Skipper will still get to see where these planes were born, and where it all started. I know it's useless info BUT for aircraft buffs it's kinda cool to see where these Air Superiority Fighters were conceived. FOOTNOTE: Skipper just called me he's stuck in traffic in Manhattan LOL. Yeah people ANYONE coming to Long Island AVOID GOING THROUGH MANHATTAN AND AVOID THE GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE AT ALL COSTS lol. Skipper learning this the hard way lol. ANYHOW post up when you've had meetings with other Hisstankers. Let's hear how the site is helping others in trades, meets, etc etc!! |

I originally just came here for 25th toy information. I've been a long time lurker over at Yo Joe. I didn't post that much at first, but since then I've made a few friends through trading, and swapping stories, jokes, insults :P I got to meet a bunch of great people at Joecon a few weeks ago.
There are a couple of people close to me here (Misfit, Octane/Steel Brigade) and I know I've run into them a few times at the North Haven show. Next time I hear of a CT/MA meet up I'll have to go!

CT/MA meet-up, let me know and I can arrange to swing by.
Only know of 2 Joe fans in the NH area, met one and talk now and then (not a big 'Tanker) and just haven't been able to connect with the other. Met alot of fans at Joecon. That was great.

I have met zero tankers in the Sacramento area. I know there's at least one here but I don't think they're on here very much. They messages me a while back about Cobra island packs at Ross. Never herd from him since.
It would be awesome to actually meet someone who is into customs as I am. We could trade ideas and techniques face to face. I'm sure we could learn allot from each other.

Definitely need to get the CT/MA / whole northeast together sometime.... I know Kozin's next show is in October....but we could shoot to set something up before then. I met tons of cool folks at the con. Spending the better part of the day with kneroh and BFJ, saw Gyre, Shockval and Troynos here and there....so many others Man, I'm all depressed now.....time to eat some lunch. I always wondered if any of the "collector dudes" I would see around were members of Hisstank. Some of them were complete jerks who would run or walk fast just to get to the Toy aisle before me lol so I never really wanted to talk to them. During the peak of the 25th era I used to see the same group of guys everywhere and had nicknames for em all but never got the vibe they wanted to be friends but they had their own little click they were in.

A lot of Tankers met at Joe Con and, from what I've read, they got along magnificently. I mean, how could you not? The banter and camaraderie that exudes on this site is infectious to say the least.
I can't wait to meet someone other than Arashikage Tat! :p |

I met a ton of people at Joecon, and we do local Joe meets here every now and again with me, my wife poptart13, Vadersquest, Redredly and Lt. Faceless as the core, "original group." SidDarth & Tunnel Rat came to one, and still trying to get Blayze5150, Shogi, Corndog the Ninja and probably a couple others I'm forgetting to come out. It's always a great time, Tankers are the best!
