Ok so I’m looking for a bullhorn backpack with rifle complete for my latest custom. I see a backpack on ebay for 1.50. I ask the guy if it has the rifle parts. He says that he’s selling the rifle parts for 2.50 each. So I offer him 10$ (which I find is quite expensive for this, but figured I didn't want to buy a while figure for 15$). He writes back saying “I can do it for 11.75$. It’s 1.5$ for the backpack, plus 2.50 each piece (3), 1.5$ shipping and 1.75 for shipping materials and labor…Seriously….I don't know but that's quite expensive…I’ve found whole figure complete for 15$ shipped…Since I’m buying all the parts, shouldn’t he make a better price? I told him to forget about it and that I hated when seller’s take advantage of people on ebay… thoughts?

You should forward the email to eBay. A seller can't charge for labor specifically or time to go to the post office. The labor can be in the asking price, but if you figure it in too heavily, people won't buy the item. A custom, for example, is not charged for the item and an additional $40 for the labor, a seller would just charge like $70 for the item.

I know what you mean. There's some stuff that I want too, but I can't see spending the asking price for it. $10 for one Tomahawk blade is steep. I don't get mad about it though, it's just more than I'm willing to pay. What makes me mad is when people get attitudes with me when I ask for deals. I asked a guy mailing a loose figure once if he was willing to ship First Class in a padded envelope, and the dude flipped out on me about it. Again, $7 shipping for a loose figure is ridiculous to me.

7$ is ridiculous...well within the States at least. It costs me 6.50$ to ship from Canada to the US and only cost you guys 2$ to ship up here...hehehe...worst thing is when I see a loose joe on there and shipping to canada says 15$....come on!
